Early analysis of FSU/Clemson from Nole perspective.

I'm listening to a live streaming podcast from Tallahassee. For those of you familiar with warchant TV on YouTube, it is the Jeff Cameron Show. Jeff works full time for Warchant, the leading FSU website. He also has the number one rated radio show in Tallahassee. Every day he does a live show on the radio that is simulcast streaming on youtube.
Obviously, the topic of discussion is FSU football. After talking about how well the defense played and also complaining that the offense still stinks and that DJU should be benched he made this comment. I'll paraphrase it here:
"Buckle up, Nole fans. I hope I'm wrong, but I'm getting the same feeling I got a couple of weeks before we were heading to Louisville to meet Lamar Jackson. (Note: 62-3 and that was the catalyst for his Heisman win.) It's not just gonna be a loss it's gonna be a total ass-kicking."
They broke for a commercial. He is now giving the offensive stats and national rankings for the offensive sections. He is describing the offense as a "miserable failure...pitiful...pathetic...god-awful...depressing."
Not to say that things can't change between now and then, but just keep in mind Jeff is an FSU grad and he has covered the Noles for over 25 years. He is not a homer, but he also is not a basher. He is generally positive but realistic about the Noles.

"The kid at quarterback, Cade Klubnick, has figured it out. He's playing with confidence. The OL is blocking well. The defense is elite. And, when they come to Tallahassee they will be fired up not to just win, but to destroy."
He said something to the effect, "The score will be 55-7 if Dabo decides to call the hosses off and giver us a break."
Then he cautions, "I'm telling you folks are remembering the game at Clemson last year, or their game against Georgia this year. They aren't the same team."
His co-host sarcastically called him a Clemson fan and a Dabo defender. (That was clearly a joke. Jeff has made it clear for years he hates Clemson and thinks Dabo is a charlatan.)

I travel a lot for work and generally wear Clemson gear in the airport. I strike up convos with people from B10 & former Pac12 schools that have tons of respect Dabo and how he runs his programs.
Once you get outside of South East where religion is far more ingrained in people's personalities & dabo hasn't owned their football program for last 10+ years the opinion of him is much rosier (in my experience)

My coot relative still call Dabo a cheerleader. They’re just jealous. And Georgia fan relatives, call him a clown and refuse to accept the fact that we have the same number of national championships. I actually had to show it to them.

I never assume anything, particularly what seems to be the obvious. We will get FSU's best, which may or may not be enough, but I'm really not expecting a blowout. I don't know what the spread will be but I would expect the score differential to be something close to it.

This game will be DJU's "1st Notre Dame" performance. Count on it!
Clemson will need LUCK to win this game. This will be FSU's bowl game, playoff game, or whatever you want to call it. The Noles will be leaving EVERYTHING on the field in 2 weeks, even if it means every starter ends up with a season-ending injury, so long as they win.
I don't think that CDS will fall into the trap of thinking this will be an easy win in Doak-Campbell.
It will NOT be an easy win.
If Clemson comes out of Tallahassee with a "W", I don't care what the score is, take it and RUN as fast as you can back to Clemson.
Lick your wounds and get ready for the rest of the season, don't look back...move on.
This will NOT be a cakewalk by any stretch of the imagination.

with players WE recruited BEFORE they we're making more than a lot of NFL rookies??? Yeah, ok.
Dabo hates the fact that college football has become just another pro sport. I agree with him. And I think Dabo's conviction against becoming reliant on transfers to field a team has a lot of merit. Would you agree?

I expect FSU to give a competitive game. They will be the hunter rather than the hunted in this game. I do expect they will come up short, but highly doubt a blowout.

I tend to agree. National TV at night. They don't really have anything else to play for. I expect it to be competitive, at least in the first half. If we string together some scores, I see them packing it in.

After the last couple of seasons my confidence hhas been eroded to the place where I hope what you say happens, but I stick in "We'll see mode", because 2 is a pretty small sample size. Especially after the drubbing we got from Georgia.

I was able to get 13 tickets together for just 75 bucks a pop Saturday, so they can't be too optimistic. Price was $57 each, but fees and taxes
Always look forward to a trip to Tally and my daughter gets to tour the school this year with my Niece, a current student
I want her to go to Clemson, but have to admit the 100k tuition difference is stark

for the embarrassing RUTS butt-kickings they served up in the '90s and early 2000s. I want all of 'em... the coaches, the players, the fans... to feel that same sick feeling of embarrassment and hopelessness we felt when they replaced us as the dominant team in the ACC.

Yes I experienced all of that as well.
59-10 in Tallahassee in 2018 cleansed a lot of that for me. It was only one game. But it was quite therapeutic.

I could see the FSU roster rallying for the Clemson game. They’ll want the good film for NFL scouts. Even for selfish reasons, I could see FSU players being highly motivated for the game.
