UW wideouts did not look outstanding nor did Penix

Michigan D made them look pretty average at best. NFL will likely do the same. PAC12 obviously was not as tough a road as it was made out to be. Penix missed several open receivers all night.
While I'm at it I'll also say Bo Nix from Oregon will struggle at the next level like he did when he played against tough D while at Auburn. Penix and Nix both transfer into the PAC12 and now they're Tom Brady like. Not so fast my friend.
Did not want Michigan to win but expected what we watched last night. Hail to the Cheaters.

were to the Huskies. They had all the right players on offense and a far superior coaching staff, blah, blah, blah...Those players and coaches truly sucked when it all mattered. Some our fans can be such idiots.

I think the receivers did a good job when given an opportunity. I think Penix got rattled by Michigan and played a very poor game.

... agianst Bama or Oregon, either game.
I'm sure the Michigan D had a lot to do with that. But, his accuracy was abysmal at best.

Hurt and hurried by UM defense accounted for a lot of it. I think they schemed up well which confused Penix and slowed him down. Physicality resulted in pain.

Michigan's rush is what made Penix look average. A great defensive rush will

do that to ANY QB, on any level. Penix constantly had to get rid of the ball before he was ready to, or take a sack.

Correct, people want to forget how Trevor looked against LSU's pass rush in 2019 and Ohio State's in 2020.

Penix did not have the game he had against a weaker Alabama defense but did the best he could do. I really did not care who won last night but actually felt sorry for Penix because he was just pounded all night. As usual, the narrative on this site is focused on the negative instead of the positive. If the game had been a prize fight the referee would have stopped it because Michigan's defense just beat Penix to death.

Penix never played Alabama, Washington played against Texas in the Sugar bowl. Michigan played Alabama in the Rose Bowl.
I only caught the 2nd half of the NC game last night, but what I saw was a QB under constant pressure who was uncharacteristically inaccurate. When given time, he's deadly accurate. He will need a team with a good O-line in the NFL to be successful.
QB's like Lamar Jackson are rare, the kind that can thrive with a bad O-line by their ability to escape. Penix isn't Lamar.
