Miami has absolutely crushed everyone except for Cal.
However, they’ve played some pretty trash teams.
How do you think we’d fair against them? Cam Ward’s hype reminds me of Lamar’s.
Could be an epic game!

VT and Cal Dlines are nowhere near what we bring to the table and we will beat Miami handily. Just put AT on Restrepo and call it a night.

I'd agree. If we play our best game and them theirs...I'd say we win by 13-17pts. Cal and VT showed they're not world beaters, they've just played inferior competition and have played well, but we all know Cristobal is a terrible in game coach so they've been lucky and have crushed inferior teams. Had a tough time with two average/above average teams (so to speak)...Ward is great don't get me wrong, but he can be made to make bad passes and decisions, they've just not played any teams that can really challenge him, and the two that have, ain't anything close to what we have to throw at him.
I like our chances. And while I was on the fence and kinda wanted to see Cal win that game, I think (especially now with Lville losing) it's clearly better for us they (Miami) go undefeated and are ranked high when we play them. Shoot, if both teams continue to win that could be like a #3/4 versus like a #5/6 or 7 ACCCG. And they'll be overhyped even more by then.

I agree. Pitt plays SMU at SMU the weekend before we play Pitt. That could be a huge factor in the ACC race.

I'm with u we have zero pass rush and our corners have to grow up I'm a one game at a time fan with this team. Hopefully things will change with our recruiting strategy.

FYI, our 2024 Dline is not nearly as good as our 2023 Dline. (Last year's 2 DTs were awesome and now play in the NFL. Here's hoping that some of our 2024 DTs will get an NFL look.)
And we definely miss our MLB from last year.
We have 2 stars in AT and safety 9, but the rest are still learning their positions. (We were lucky, twice, that FSU did not complete long passes where their WRs werevwide-open.)
Overall, our D is not quite as good as 2023.

Cam Ward scares me a bit, but by the time we get to the championship game, I think our defense will be at their very best - and will get after him real good. Coverage will be improved also.

Miami should have lost both the VT and Cal games but for our usual ACC officials and their inept review team they won both. Ward is perhaps one of the best QBs in the nation and along with several seniors such as Strepo is a very good team. We will know more when the play at Louisville this week. However, if we don’t get a better pass rush, I’m afraid he will pick us apart if we do play them. I’m not liking their it’s us against the world(the bad boys of Miami) attitude. They are trying to revert back to the old bad boy team trying to hurt you.

They've been in several close games down to the wire, the horseshoe is on the right foot for now, but they could easily be a 2 or 3 loss team. They're good, but like always...I like our chances with them. Another one we owe some payback for handing out a W on a silver platter last year
