Gonzaga is going to PAC12 with no football program.

PAC12 still needs to get to 8 football teams to be an official FBS Conference.

Smart Move. Memphis, Tulane and USF should wait on the ACC in the future. Why would they move to what will essentially be Group of 5 conference money in the PAC and increase their travel costs?

MWC is trying to secure membership w/ some financial incentives, while PAC is trying to swoop in before that.

Last word: Air Force, UNLV, & San Jose St have committed to the MWC. Utah State is accepting offer to join Pac-12. This puts both leagues at 7 FB members (MWC @ 6 full-time), 1 below FBS threshold. Honestly a merger between the 2 probably would've been best for all involved but we know nothing in college athletics makes sense anymore.
