I'm working away, minding my own business and a lumber delivery truck shows up.
I assume they are unloading for the neighbors.
A few minutes later guy in a forklift starts up my driveway with a load of treated lumber.
Here's where I #### up.
Foolishly, I go out and, instead of showing him where to leave my free lumber, I tell him he's at the wrong place.
He shows me the delivery ticket, which has my address but no name I recognize. But I tell him it's not mine and he calls dispatch, now they are unloading elsewhere.

I woke up one day and had an entire roof sitting in my driveway.

Pallets of shingles, roofing paper, boxes of nails, the entire works, just sitting there. Looked at our cameras and they delivered the stuff at like 5:30am, slept right through it.
Lucky for me, in my town there is another street with the EXACT same streetname and address, only one is Dr. and one is Ct. Through the years I have become close friends with the guy on Ct., as I live on Dr.
Called him up. Asked if he was getting a new roof. He said yes, was supposed to be delivered today. Told him it was sitting in my driveway. Hour later Lowes truck pulls up, and hauls it all away.

I told them I didn't order this and wasn't paying for it.
Wife of called her father and he was all, yeah I bought those for yall just because I wanted to.
I had to chase the truck down to get them to come back.

You're doing it wrong. Only thing my inlaws ever gave me was a wedding, and their daughter I guess. And technically, wedding was 99.9% for their daughter. I got free beer and some cake I think.

state trooper saga even, I think. He is living in his inlaw's house. They like sold it to them half-price or something, holding 50% of that sweet, sweet equity over his head. And they're just giving him washers and dryers, while his wife lives in the house she grew up in......
smh......I completely understand the problem here.
This is like example #1 on the first page of the "Bad Scenarios to Avoid" chapter in the Book of Marriage.
