Joe Bidens actions on border policy is the biggest dereliction of duty

I’ve witnessed in my lifetime.
There were policies in place during the Trump administration that managed(not fix) this situation with “Remain in Mexico” and border security being the stop gap to protect Americans.
In attempt to undo everything Trump, these policies were all proudly and publicly revoked. That action was a siren song heard throughout the world that the border is open under Joe. It increased the pressure and the number of people rushing the border.
This UGA nursing student was slain on campus by an illegal migrant. This migrant was a healthy, 26yr old military aged male. He was apprehended in September 2022 at the El Paso, TX border station, paroled and released into this country. That WOULD NOT have happened under Donald Trump.
Every major city in our country are facing incredible pressures in dealing with so many completely undocumented people.
The only reason this has risen to the top is because these issues are landing on the doorstep of liberal, sanctuary cities.
As it stands now, after a little more than 3-years, the number of illegals under Biden has more than doubled versus the 4-year Trump term. It was declining under Trump as well.
I’m left to believe one of two things. Either Joe Biden has done all of this on purpose, or he is so senile, he relies on advisors whose advice borders on traitorous.
When you come at me after this post, imagine your typing this out to the parents of the UGA student before you hit the post button.
In the absence of congressional action, our appointed leaders still have to lead. They still have to do everything within their power to protect the American people.
This has to stop.

Not sure where you get your facts but Biden tried to pass the most restrictive border policy in history and it was blocked by Republicans.
Also, it's pretty lame that you're using a tragic death to take a shot at the president. But that's a trump supporter for you.

Which facts that I’ve presented do you challenge?
As voters and Americans, we have as many issues to weigh as there are stars in the sky, yet we only have two options at the ballot box. It’s impossible that one side or the other is on the right side of every issue, unless you are a mind-numbed robot.
Some advice, stick the substance. You know nothing about me. Not my politics, my preferences, nothing.
This girl would be alive if the Trump policies were in place.

The boder is definitely way worse now. There is no question about that. It's chaotic. But to be fair, illegals were killing people while Trump was in office as well.

What's sad though is Obama deported as many illegals as any other president in history, yet Trump won on the promise of securing the border and the false notion that Democrats want an open border.

It is sad. Obama deported millions but if Trump suggested deporting it was racist. Democrats made a border wall racist and encouraged mass illegal immigration and chaos. All of them were previously on record saying there needed to be a border wall.
To deliver on those promises, Biden ended all of Trump's border policies. Now they are singing a different tune now that the illegal immigrants are being relocated to and overwhelming "sanctuary cities".
Not to mention they are taking resources that were in place for the already less fortunate legal citizens. But this is just more mouths for the Dems too feed, and get votes / power.

To this chance encounter and her death.
Blaming it all on one thing (an illegal immigrant crossing the border) is shortsighted and lacks any sense of critical thinking by believing in just one cause-and-effect relationship you choose.

If proposing to allow the first 5,000 terrorist, drug smugglers, traffickers, and illegals into the county every day is the best policy in history, we’ve got serious problems. Your statement is incorrect but that’s the socialist narrative that’s put out there, so I can understand if you’re afraid to investigate for yourself
When I read anything, I don’t care what the source or what their normal bias is, my baseline position is that, at best, it’s a manipulation of information intended to elicit a response, not report facts, and at worst, an outright lie they’re betting won’t get checked or disputed
Unfortunately, todays media rarely disappoints

Have you read the proposal that you referenced? That’s exactly what it says. Yes, I’m sure all 5,000 will not be terrorists, but the 5,000 also does not include the gottaways ( not my term). You probably would phrase it so they’re all dreamers. My point being you don’t say you’re stopping illegal activity by stopping it after 5,000 people break the law.

summation this is the reality of the bill proposed:
Migrants would not be able to just cross the border illegally under the new bill. It would end the practice of "catch and release," in which Border Patrol agents release migrants into the U.S. while they await immigration hearings.
Instead, migrants who tried to cross the border illegally would be detained immediately, with their asylum claims decided while they were in detention. People would be removed immediately within 15 days if they failed their asylum claim interviews.
The bill does provide exceptions from detention for unaccompanied minors and families even if they cross the border illegally between ports of entry. But those migrants would be placed under community supervision; what that looks like would be at the discretion of the Department of Homeland Security.

Hey "TheBigDog", when Biden added an extra $78 Billion funding into the border security bill to "feed" militaries and wars around the world and protect his interests, he knew it wouldn't pass. He got what he wanted, you and the other liberals to blame the Republicans.
Ask your Demonrat Congressman to submit a border security bill with funding only for border security and see if it passes.

republican house just rejected the whole thing. It was probably the best bipartisan legislation on immigration in the last sixty years. Trump calling the shots from the outside. Unbelievable that republican legislators listen to him. Would rather it be a campaign issue. Expect a little more of the same for the future. This can has been kicked down the road since the Reagan days.

My wife's sister, who raised two sons, without a father. He was robbed and killed while working on his truck in his own driveway. Both of the killers were U.S. citizens. Want two add insult to death, they were sentenced to only 15 years. I still haven't figured that out. Since this happened in 2003, ant they were early 20s then, I'm sure they are free and enjoying life, still healthy enough to continue doing what they do. I don't think they've given one thought to the man they killed or his family. He was just a hard working granite counter top installer. He wasn't "smart" enough to just knock people off for money. That street goes both ways.

It’s by design, they want to transform the demographics of the country and have succeeded. They are creating a permanent majority of voters, it’s brilliant. They play long ball and we play short game, and we’ve lost the culture and nation.

Our number one enemy is not Russia, China nor Iran. Our enemy resides in Washington (Sodom) D.C. Ask any military person and they will tell you that if they confide that you will remain in silence as to what you hear from them.

Haley needs to dominate the SC primary. Who expects that to happen? DeSantis and Youngkin are far better candidates. Trump has gummed that up.

I don't think there was ever a chance for her to ever beat Trump in SC. People made up their minds so long ago it seems. Also, so many coots would never even consider her. That part is just conjecture of course, but I bet her ties ro Clemson are enough for a bunch of them to not even listen. Maybe she will be able to stay within 20 points. It won't be close. Maybe she will do better in Michigan.

Maybe they will learn their lesson. Trump is Trump what you see is what you get, and yes he is distasteful, but was more effective than this puppet of the Regressive Ultra Left.

I’m glad you asked.
The current president is/has done everything he could to stop it. He apologized for not being able to do so. Then, he then elected to just prevent the money from being spent as it was specifically designated for the border wall.
“After the Department of Homeland Security announced it would waive laws to enable miles of border wall construction in Texas, President Joe Biden said he “can’t stop” the money being spent on border barriers because of the way it was appropriated by Congress. That’s correct, experts told us.”

Here's what happened...
1. Jan 20, 2021: President Biden terminated the National Emergency at the Southwest border (Proclamation 9844), thereby halting emergency construction of a border wall.
2. Jan 20, 2021: President Biden issued an Executive Order (EO) further entrenching the unlawful Deferred Action for Childhood Arrivals (DACA) program. With his action, President Biden directed the Secretary of Homeland Security, in consultation with the Attorney General, “to preserve and fortify DACA”, signaling to illegal aliens that his Administration supports amnesty and that illegal aliens need not fear coming to the U.S. or worry about immigration enforcement.
3. Jan 20, 2021: President Biden unveiled the U.S. Citizenship Act, which would provide amnesty to millions of illegal aliens in the U.S., demonstrating intent to reward illegal border crossers with a path to citizenship.
4. Jan 20, 2021: President Biden revoked Trump-era Executive Order that was designed to ensure there was meaningful enforcement of U.S. immigration laws.
5. Jan 20, 2021: The Administration issued an Executive action ending limitations and restrictions against immigration from certain countries associated with terrorism.
6. Jan 20, 2021: The Biden Administration announced a 100-day moratorium on deportations and immigration enforcement, effectively providing amnesty to criminal and other removable aliens and sending the signal the Biden Administration would not enforce the law. The Administration also announced interim immigration enforcement guidelines that signaled to illegal aliens that they do not have to worry about the possibility of deportation.
7. Feb 1, 2021: The Department of Homeland Security (DHS) implemented Acting Secretary Pekoske’s policy requiring a new “process [that] shall provide for assessments of alternatives to removal including, but not limited to, staying or reopening cases, alternative forms of detention, custodial detention, whether to grant temporary deferred action, or other appropriate action.”
8. Feb 2, 2021: President Biden issued Executive Order (EO) 14010 and began processing asylum claims at the border. In the EO, the President also signaled an end to the Migrant Protection Protocols (which is known as “Remain in Mexico” or “MPP”) while making other statements signaling an open border.
9. Feb 6, 2021: Secretary of State Antony Blinken suspended, and began termination procedures, for the Trump Administration’s Asylum Cooperative Agreements with El Salvador, Guatemala, and Honduras. These agreements ensured aliens seeking asylum could do so in countries closer to their home country and in countries other than the United States.
10. Feb 2021: The Biden Administration voluntarily stopped applying Title 42 expulsions to children across the board, setting off a major wave of unaccompanied alien children, family units, and illegal aliens generally heading to the U.S. border.
11. Feb 17, 2021: The Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) exempted unaccompanied alien children (UAC) from Title 42 expulsion requirements, thereby encouraging UACs to come to the U.S. and parents to pay cartels to smuggle their children to the U.S. border.
12. Feb 25, 2021: The Biden Administration sped up releases of UACs.
13. Mar 2, 2021: According to news reports, the Biden Administration lost track of 20,000 unaccompanied alien children and President Biden was briefed on the need to expand detention to hold an additional 20,000 children who had illegally crossed the border.
14. Mar 5, 2021: Faced with overwhelming numbers of UACs in federal custody, the CDC ignored its normal facilities guidance regarding COVID-19 and notifies “facilities caring for migrant children that they can open back up to pre-Covid-19 levels, acknowledging ‘extraordinary circumstances.’”
15. Mar 10, 2021: Biden Administration announced reinstatement of the Central American Minors (CAM) program, an Obama-era parole program that allowed citizens and aliens—including illegal aliens—to bypass the family-based immigration laws adopted by Congress and sponsor family members El Salvador, Guatemala, and Honduras to come to the United States.
16. Mar 16, 2021: DHS Secretary Mayorkas delivered remarks effectively explaining the border is open for illegal immigration by stating DHS’s focus would be on “processing” illegal aliens—in other words catch-and-release and the creation of new “lawful pathways.”
17. Mar 20, 2021: DHS began issuing illegal alien border crossers a Notice to Report (NTR) to U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement, as opposed to the standard Notice to Appear (NTA) in U.S. immigration court. The NTR policy allows illegal aliens to simply be released into the U.S. and relies on them to self-report to ICE at a later date.
18. Mar 30, 2021: Office of Refugee Resettlement (ORR) took drastic actions to expand detention space to house unaccompanied alien children in so-called “Influx Care Facilities”, often using unlicensed facilities that lacked child welfare experience. In March, April, and May of 2021, ORR expanded capacity to house another 23,849, including 10,000 at Fort Bliss. DHS was also holding children for a longer period than allowed by law (between 30 and 40 days) and, because the flow of UACs across the border outpaced Health and Human Services’ (HHS) ability to vet adults who can care for the children.
19. Mar 31, 2021: The Department of Health and Human Services (HHS) Office of Refugee Resettlement (ORR) issued guidance rolling back requirements for background checks on adults in the household of a UAC sponsor.
20. Apr 30, 2021: The Biden Administration canceled further wall construction which was being led by the Department of Defense (DOD).

all of these illegal immigrants are counted in the census. More people, illegals included, equals more congressional districts, and more congressional districts equal more members of congress to potentially drive a liberal agenda.

lower immigration numbers during the Trump "Remain in Mexico" phase. At least initially.
And a siren song is by definition bad for those who are lured by it.
So that doesnt work in the context of your OP.
Stop looking to Trump or Biden for solutions to immigration issues and challenges. And stop blaming them, too, when those solutions dont come.
There are a billion people south of our Southern border. And a good portion of them live in poverty and fear.
And America offers a chance to work and not be snatched out of bed in the night. Usually. So those with a will and a desire to show up are gonna show up.
And border security is still in place. But it's a pretty big border.
And immigration status's got nothing to do with the evil in a human heart.
And it's ghoulish, using that girl's death to leverage a point.

I’m trying the glean something of substance from your comments, but it eludes me.
You take issue with an improperly applied reference.
Then, you recite philosophical platitudes that have nothing to do with failed policies or applying effective ones.
Lastly, you take issue with me referencing the latest tragedy and assigning responsibility. You, and many here are more upset with me for that than you are at the root cause of her death.
