that time. Which, in theory, should mean less likelihood for significant winds. Gusty I'm sure. But not terribly so.

Easy solution

Sep 27, 2022, 8:58 PM

Just get a permanent magic marker and draw it going the other way on a map.

Hate to inform you but that is Greenville's location. Clemson is to the left and weaker side of the storm/depression.

Change the definition of “hurricane”…then tell everyone there’s no storm at all, and if they disagree with you they’re a nazi.

That’s even more funner.

Note the 2 PM Thursday.

Sep 27, 2022, 10:23 PM

The arrow is pointing to an S (Tropical Storm).

That S is directly over my house. Looking for 12 inches of rain over 48 hours and winds of 40+ mph for 12 hours withs gusts up to 60.

Not dangerous. But, it won't be a fun 3 days or so. Expecting to lose power somewhere along the way.

my sister in law moved to Palm Coast from the midwest about 18 months ago and she is getting a very real introduction to being a Floridian.

I grew up in the Daytona/Ormond area where it looks like they will be having an experience as well.

Good luck Brett.

Just kinda have to hunker down and ride it out!
The thrill of a can of spam over sterno and glass of sparkling bottled water by candlelight.

60-70 mph winds here in the panhandle of Texas is just another day, but we don’t have any trees to worry about. 12-15” of rain is double our expected annual rainfall too! Growing up in the low country of SC I know what these storms can do. I remember Hugo. Prayers for the whole SE that’s in the line of fire.

Y’all be safe

Hey Tigerswell,

We are planning for the Kansas @ Texas Tech game on 12NOV. What are you planning for that day? Consider joining us.

My neighbor is a Kansas fan and is trying to talk me into getting tickets and heading down to Lubbock to watch it. We might just do that

The last time we were supposed to get 10 inches of rain and 50mph wind. What we really got was 2 inches of rain and about 20mph winds. They pump a lot of these storms up to be much more than they turn out to be. As slow as this storm is moving it will be catastrophic for the area of landfall but will likely fizzle out quickly when it starts moving north over land. Hopefully it will just be mostly rain. Prayers to everyone in the path of Ian. Remember there are more important things than sports. Stay safe!

Latest NHC projection shows less wind for game time and the storm passing through earlier than kickoff. Hope they don't change the forecast yet again...
