himself two HUGE games in a row (21/20 pts. W/few turnovers). That was one of the key pieces going into this tournament…well any game for that matter. Anyway, congrats to him. Excellent job of being the ship’s captain young man.
What about Godfrey hitting his last four free throws like there was nothing it. 55% my eye. Looked like he had it all the way to me. Most excellent timing to come thru.
Ian Schieffelin - continues to be The Chef. lol.
PJ and Girard - looking forward to those two getting hot and staying on the court this Thursday!!
Go Tigers!

PJ has to stay out of foul trouble if we are to have a chance of beating Arizona. If he picks up too many fouls early like last night, it's going to be a tall order.

Disagree on your PJ (and Girard.) assessment. Sure, it would be great if they could (ALL) playto their fullest potential, but the team seemed to play pretty well (double digit leads in both games) without big contributions from PJ.

Don't hold your hopes up too much people: Clemson faces a true heavyweight in Arizona next game, and under BB Clemson generally plays a BAD games after playing two good games in a row. This is their pattern over the last several years. BB has never made it past the Sweet 16 before, so Arizona is the clear favorite in my eyes. I'm picking Houston over Duke. Too many athletes for Houston, and I've liked them all year. I'm picking Marquette over NC State. NC State simply hasn't been good enough this year to be this far. UNC may lose to Alabama. I just can't trust RJ Davis' consistency. Bacot can't take on all those Alabama guys by himself. There is a very strong possibility that all 4 ACC teams could be eliminated this weekend. Houston, Marquette, Alabama and Arizona have too many horses to compete with for the ACC schools playing them. In the NCAAs, historically the closer you get to the Final Four, the higher level of talent generally shows up. The opponents are tougher, stronger and more NBA ready. U Conn is my overall pick to win it all for the 2nd year in a row. Purdue is suspect. One big guy with 4 average guys to support him. UConn, Arizona, Tennessee and Houston appear to be the last four left, with Houston and UConn playing in the finals. Ironically, Mike Barnes(former Clemson BB coach) has an excellent chance to make the Final Four (I believe he'll make it in the bracket he's got). He's been there before with Texas. Been a great tournament, a few upsets as usual, and What about Yale. You knew deep down they weren't gonna make it too far. Brownell has probably earned another 10 years as Clemson's HC after the Baylor game, and that's too bad for the overall BB Program. They will never reach "elite" status under him. He's losing his entire starting 5 with this team. They are all Seniors or Grad players. Back to rebuilding, and NOT a good year next year.

I feel sorry for you that you can't enjoy the success and fun of this tournament. The past is in the past and we don't know the future.
P.S. It's Rick Barnes. Maybe you should learn his name and go cheer for Tennessee.

The most impressive thing to me is how we've done it.

If you had told me before the tournament that PJ would be in foul trouble, play limited minutes, and be held to around 10 points, I would've told you that I did not feel very good about our chances. If you told me that Girard also only averaged around 10 points per game I would've told you with certainty that we would lose.
Incredible effort by Chase as well as Schieffelin, Clark, and our reserves who have picked up the slack!
Our defensive intensity has been lights out. To hold two really good offenses in check like we have is nothing short of amazing.
Here's to our team clicking on all cylinders on offense against Arizona, while maintaining our defensive effort. Go Tigers!
