Welcome to Clemson. It looks like the future of Clemson football is in good hands. How can you go wrong when you get young men like this at your school? A Clemson man needs no introduction. Go Tigers!!!

“I actually really like him. I like him more than Coach Austin because he sent more people to the NFL, and he has a genuine connection with all of his offensive linemen on and off the field.”
This quote...right here...This is why nepotism doesn't work in coaching. It's important for Swinney to realize when one of his coaches Is in way over their head.

Austin was not ready to be a coach at a big time school. It is the same with Grisham. I appreciate what Dabo intended to do but this was a failed experiment that I hope is never researched again.

I wondered about this. He had coached at another school (smaller) HE ALSO HAD A COUPLE YEARS WORKING WITH CALDWELL. So I wonder why he wasnt ready. It is intereting Dabo gave everyone notice and then his guys showed out against ND run blocking. So what was it dabo didnt see from a guy he obviously thought was a fit that caused the change?

TA is getting thrown under the bus because he's young and didn't yet have the years under his belt at the power 5 level to put a lot of guys in the NFL. I liked the way the OL was improving the last few games of the season, but not having a proven track record is a hurdle in recruiting top talent. My point is, TA's position doesn't have the built-in recruiting advantages that wide receiver does at Clemson. If Dabo was a long-time OL position coach a young OL coach would have more success recruiting, and a more experienced WR coach would probably be necessary.

I think it highly unlikely we'll ever have a #1 class because we usually sign fewer players than Al and Oh St, N Dame.... And I'd rather be #1 on the field than in stars.

I must be getting really old because it doesn’t even seem possible that Brandon Jacobs could have a kid that age.

I do not think we will ever have a #1 recruiting class, but we are getting the players we need. The Best is yet to come.
