Give that man the ball. Shipley too of course but I want to see Mafah run over and thru some dudes.

I agree, and there was plenty of times with DJ as QB that Ship and Mafah should have just been fed the ball with them both being able to catch the short passes out of the backfield the times that DJ wasn't throwing the ball in the dirt, or throwing 10 yard 90 MPH passes that a pass receiver needed an oversize 1st baseman Mit to catch passes thrown that hard in a 10 space. Just saying that Ship and Mafah could have gotten a lot playing time and yards last season together....

Agree! We need two starters at running back. Play them together or separately run, block, catch, plenty of options. Cade should only run as a scramble, and focus on completing passes, not running.
Between our running backs, Tight Ends, and receivers we have plenty of options for our offense!
Go Tigers!

Yeah. Obviously, one needs to be fresh, but can you imagine packages where one is always lined up in the slot with the other in the backfield? Both in the backfield? Both at receiver? Can't wait!

We’re extremely lucky to not lose Mafah.

Now we have an amazing 1, 2 punch. So let’s use them!
Hopefully the coaches watch the DIRTPECKER game again and again. If we run the ball we win ball games.

One in the backfield and one in the slot and work them all game that way until teams decide to try and stop them, and it would be really tough to stop both of them on the field at the same time with a QB that could get the ball to them 95-97% of the time that the ball is being thrown to one or the other...

He looks much thicker than the other backs in this un-photoshopped picture of him running the football.

I couldn't agree more. His performance in the Spring Game was scary good. It is of my personal opinion that he should be a starter. We are lucky to have him on the team.

I hope Shipley and Mafah have gained some speed because that is what we have been missing since ETN left.

early in the year, and by doing so, save Mafah and Shipley for the latter stages.
I want those two big boys to still have all of their quicks when we hit the CFP, running downhill on whatever unlucky SEC sum-beaches happen to be in their way. Pound and ground. Make Danny proud.
