Brady: 6 superbowls, undefeated against mahomes except for only loss in the 2020 regular season, put up better stats in a much tougher era, and is widely considered the GOAT. Mahomes: 4 superbowls, only beat Brady once, put up worse stats in a worse era, ESPN love him more than the SEC, he also hasn’t beaten teams that were anywhere near the level of teams Brady beat. I’ll let all debate below 👇

Mahomes is young. He’s a gamer. Brady also lost to some mid Giants teams in the Super Bowl.
Mahomes is also much more fun to watch - and I get that the media fangirls over him.
I’m grateful to live in an era where I get to see them both!

and the other Giants team needed divine intervention, an act of God in order to defeat the Patriots(the helmut catch).

Brady, quicker release in real time. Brady did more with less. Mahomet is really good. I think the NFL is a little more on the entertainment side of the game now a days.
I'm good at math, but this I can't do in my head. What are the chances a team (Chiefs) win 10 of 13 games by one score or less this season without outside interference? I'm going to guess about .005

Give Brady the talent Mahommes has been surrounded with and I take Brady 5-1 in six matchups

Try and argue that with someone that’s been watching ball forever and gets paid to watch and examine players, someone like Stephen A. As much as a I disagree with him on some things he is an actual football genius.

He may be so off air. He's playing the part of an antagonistic a---hole on TV.
He may very well be a football genius, but it's not his contract to be so. I think he's probably a decent guy off air. Heck, I'd play an idiot for 7 million per year.
You?

Not even close yet. You're underselling Brady and overselling Mahomes.
Mahomes only has 3 Super Bowls. He's been to 4. Brady went to 9 and won 7 Super Bowls.
Mahomes isn't super young any more. He's almost 30. He needs to play for another 14 seasons without any drop off in production to pass Brady statistically.
Brady did it for a very long time with tremendously different teams. Mahomes has only produced with Andy Reid as his coach and with superstars around him.
As you said, the NFL is only a shadow of what it was. Rules have weakened defenses tremendously. It is far, far easier to rack up passing yards and TDs today than it was in 2005. In 2005, the average passing stats for a starting QB was 2,937 yards, 18 touchdowns, and 14 interceptions. Last year, the average stats have been 3,353 yards, 25 touchdowns, and 10 interceptions. That's a huge difference.
There's much less competitive balance than there was. Think of elite QBs during Brady's prime, all of which he dominated. Just in 2007, Brady's huge statistics year, we had Peyton Manning, Drew Brees, Brett Favre, Tony Romo, Carson Palmer, Kurt Warner, and Philip Rivers. That's such a different level of QB than what we see now.
I do think Mahomes is good. But I expect he'll be an Aaron Rodgers type. Where ESPN will dote on him and rave about him because it helps their ratings, but he'll ultimately be considered short when compared to the greats. Brady won more against better competition. He had better stats against better defenses. And he did it at a time when more people cared.

The NFL is indeed no longer the league it once was. The players used to be fearless and fun to watch. Now they have a whole lot of safety rules in place that have lessened the game, but do rightly protect the players. Brady played in and won in both eras, all though his wasn’t the same as Montana and Elway. Mahomes has only the weakened and woke league. It is unfair to compare the two. If I’m starting a franchise in today’s game I’m taking Mahomes all day long. Go back to the early 2000’s Brady maybe Peyton. 80’s and 90’s Montana. Joe was the best of his era just like Tom Brady was of his and Mahomes is of whatever this is they play now. Tom didn’t have to outscore the opposition very often in New England. They don’t really play defense anymore.

7 SB rings for Brady, 3 for PM...where have you been?rhetorical...

Brady is the goat and no sane person would argue otherwise. Along with the 7 rings, his year to year stats are better Peyton's and equal to or better than Aaron Rodgers. He dominates both in statistical career totals. He did so despite having both an inferior OL and no where near the weapons on the outside compared to GB and Indy. Four years into his career, it appeared that regular season numbers might be an area that Mahomes had a good chance at besting TB12, but since Hill's fa departure he's come crashing down to earth statistically during the regular season. The downward trend will continue when his hof TE retires following this season. Mahomes retires with 4 rings tops, likely holds at 3.
