exist only your mind, not in theirs (or mine).
I have been posting less ( no need to thank me) because it seems the patients have taken over the tnet asylum. Happy" is less and less here as the 1.5% belly ache no matter what.
Why can't we have two great players at any position and be astounded and happy for that?
I suspect our coaches are in a better position to sort things than others. Winning means $$$ to them. No one does more to win than they or is better at it.

Don’t worry Tug. I know exactly how you feel. After that awesome win yesterday I’m still over the moon happy with our team. This place just ain’t the same. Don’t think I’ll be keeping my little r and orange stripe much longer. It’s just a mood killer coming here anymore.

Way to promote unity.
Every objective, intelligent fan can see the positives and negatives of both players. What I've seen is a small minority of fans that have been posting in favor of Mafah over Shipley from day one and now that Mafah appears to reaching his potential they are calling for Shipley to be relegated to the bench except during special situations.
I believe both players get playing time based on their abilities, and performance in practice and games. I don't see the need to denigrate one.
Some have said we would benefit from some two back sets. Somehow I believe that would upset some here if Shipley got the ball equally with Mafah in such a situation. Some people in here are simply biased and have agendas. I don't care who totes the rock if they help us win.

Have you considered the fumble to carry ratio?

You know Dabo's masters degree is in business and stats, trends and such matter.
The stats show that Mafah fumbles twice as much as Ship this season. So before you go off on how well you can see the obvious, look for the obvious.

Agreed. Without people pointing out the bad, Bowden would still be here. I remember getting into shouting matches with other boosters when working to get Hatfield and Bowden removed. Many were staunch supporters until the end.
Dabo is far from that point. Most of the coordinators and position coaches need to be demoted back to GA’s and analyst.
I guess the sunshine pumpers would stand by and watch their wives cheat. Pointing out issues doesn’t mean you don’t love the school. It means you’re realistic and want to see the issues corrected.
Stagnation of opposing ideas is the new world we live in. Tolerance is rare indeed. If you have an opposing viewpoint, they revert to name calling, mud slinging, doxxing , and so on. SMH.
Why does everyone seem to forget the definition of fan?! It’s short for fanatic. Hint: it’s an unhealthy infatuation. Yes, we’re all fanatics.

We've always had dumpers but added to them now are a plethora of bandwagon fans and even some of the faithful are claiming to know better how to decide starters and call plays than our coaching staff.
With 11 starters out yesterday the naysayers have adopted the changes to 'prove,' they were right all along and only injuries to previous starters save us from another loss.

reader of this site, you have to keep in mind that anyone, ENNNNNY One, can and or may be a poster on here. I am certain some are opposing fans with little or no life at all that get there jollies by saying inflammatory stuff. Some of them may not even be fans of any school. They may just be pot stirrers. I mean, look at the idiots that go around the country provoking people so they can post a video. One of them was even shot recently...and his stupid mother defended his actions....So, just read the posters you like and skip over the others...WE DON"T NEED FOR THE GOOD POSTERS TO GET RUN OFF BY THE PECKERHEADS!

Because when you swap running backs every other play the offense has no rhythm. You need a feature back and one to come in when the feature back needs a breather. You see the results from yesterday. Also Mafah doesn't trip over his own feet constantly either.

and Mafah getting 30 carries behind it until someone stops it
It took ND 9-10 guys in the box to stop that train yesterday
I’m a fan of getting shipley some jet sweeps out of the slot
But Mafah is a stud between the tackles and it’s not even close. And I think Quadzilla earned some PT too.
He may not be as good receiving out of the backfield, but I can tell a difference in their pass blocking abilities

My dog is Tyler. He is the one making phone calls. I told him to stop using the phone. Causes problems. I’m glad Dabo told him off, but I don’t think he’ll stop calling. Tyler is a pretty good dog except for that.

Champ 81, you just hit that mutha Mafahan nail right square on the head. Mahfa is a fire hydrant. Ever tried to tackle one of those? The rule is when you hit a fire hydrant, it has the god given right to hit you back. Between the tackles is where he deserves to be, no doubt. Been saying that and the hydrant comparison since he was playing at Grayson. Also been yelling at the TV for them to jet sweep out of the 2 back set with Ship. The TV simply ignores me. Don't know why. In addition, I have been yelling at the TV for them to put Ship in the slot. once again, TV no listen....me no comprende

Again, Shipley will remain a major part of our running game.

He will not be relegated to a secondary or situational role. Mafah proved he is a man Satuday, and deserves more carries; I expect he will get them. However, anybody who sees this as the end of Will Shipley as a featured back who gets a ton of carries in our offense is delusional, are setting themselves up for a great big hissy fit on T-Net.

There so many on Tnet that forget that Will Shipley has outright won games for Clemson in the past 3 years. The recency bias is hilarious. Mafah is a beast and should get more touches but he's a big back that's best when he's fresh, we saw him gassing yesterday after 36 carries. I'd like to see him get 20-25 touches and Shipley around 20 but the offensive line has got to be doing some work for them to get north and south.

Who wouldnt be gassed after 30+ carries and almost 200 yards? Run them both. Let them sort out the situation. Shipley tries to run between the tackles too much, for only 1-2 yards. There is absolutely no doubt, no one who is a Tiger, that Shipley is a beast. These two should be trading series and wearing down defenses.

Yea that's more or less what I was getting at. The blocking scheme was the biggest difference. That was more how they blocked last year when the run game looked good all around. Both these backs are good enough to take over games.

passes. This is similar to 2010, where the RB's are better than the WR;s but we still throw it too much.
Mafah has been the more effective runner all year, and I would like to see him get relatively more carries than Shipley, but they both should get more, esp out of the two back set. Since the OL doesn't do a great job just moving people, the two back misdirection runs have been effective where they can out leverage defenders.
We have gotten away from the two back sets that have worked well at times. And, since we mostly win with defense, we should play to shorten games and not go fast.
*This comment is just football opinion and in no way should me misconstrued as griping about Dabo or the asst coaches.
