Mafah for Heisman

Been talking a lot about the problems of Cade Kulbnik
But I think Mafah is going to have an enormous year, and yes, I hate to do it to Will Shipley, but Mafah will be better as the main guy. I feel Mafah is just a more true downhill back.
With how much I see us leaning on Mafah, he could get some crazy stats. As long as we have the record for him to win it obviously

Jinx? Mafah isn’t anywhere near the top of the list of candidates. There’s really no jinx here.
To Mountaineer who called me Walt, I’ve been called many things on this board in my few years of being consistently present, but that’s the worst.

Depends on too many other factors. If the offensive line has not improved, if Cade can’t make the easy throws (not to mention the deep ones), wide receiver health.
If all of that can come together, if Mafah holds on to the football AND Clemson goes undefeated. Then yes I can see him in New York.
RB hasn’t won the award since Derrick Henry in 2015. QB winner 8 of the last 10. So the odds are certainly stacked against him. Impossible? No. Do I like his chances of even getting to New York? No.
Go Tigers

Hopefully we've changed our blocking scheme then. We don't clear out holes

like bama or uga b/c they run alot of I and have their road graders pull to clear out lanes so the RB can get going down hill. Our offense is more set up for a Etienne type that is good at making a hop skip and getting outside. Our offensive line's first step is always backward for some reason and usually this leads to our RB having to make his own breaks. Thats why i'm hoping Matt Luke comes in and helps Dabo/Riley tweak the offense to be more OL and RB friendly. Our scheme is another reason why we dont' get top tier Offensive Line talent. At the same time it works for other things and it does produce positive yards but its not pro-style like UGA or Bama who always get the OL and RB talent. And thats just the way it is. It has produced two National Championships so you can't argue with it but i wish there was a way to mesh some power in with the spread

Mafha seems to get stronger as the game progresses.

I agree that Mafah stands to have a monster year toting the rock! If he has 1000+ yards during the regular season, Clemson football will be in the playoffs IMO.

If the OL improves Mafah should have a very good year.

For many reasons. I hope Mafah has a fantastic season, but he's not gonna sniff a NY invite.

I agree with your assessment. If Mafah has 5,000 yards rushing & we win the Natty, ESPN, SEC, & Big would all commit suicide before they would let a Clemson man win the Heisman! Little Ole Clemson can’t be allowed to out do the football darlings of ESPN/SEC and their talking heads since we aren’t playing their transfer portal games & refused to switch Carolina to Black Friday! But, hope Mafah & our whole team shows them we don’t have to be one of their cookie cutter teams to still WIN! GO Tigers!

Not close to Heisman numbers, but he will have a solid year.

I love Mafah but if Trevor or Deshaun couldn't win it I can't see Mafah hoisting that trophy. Maybe some other national awards if he has an outstanding year.
