…looked like they didn’t belong in the Top 25, much less No 2.
That performance was so bad, I don’t think the Tigers win any game in this series.
This was the year I was planning to see the Tigers in Omaha, should they have made it there.
After tonight, I think I’ll be saving a couple of thousand dollars in June.

Yes, there are some that are all doom & gloom, but the majority are just voicing some real concerns about this team moving forward. If you don’t have some legitimate concerns about this team especially how mediocre the offense has been lately then you haven’t been paying attention. We go from one extreme from another. You got one fraction that if anything goes wrong the sky is falling, and then you have another fraction that doesn’t want to hear a single thing bad or they accuse you of calling it a season. Most posters are somewhere in the middle even when they posts something negative.

This. I haven’t even posted about this game yet and that’s because at this point I’m warn down by decent regular season with disappointing post seasons. I’d rather it be disappointing regular season then get hot in the post season. Like the Gators did last year. Time will tell how we do post season.

I'm enjoying the baseball season. If you're taking an Omaha or bust perspective though this doesn't look like an Omaha bound team. We'll host and get beat probably in the super. That ain't bad but we haven't turned the corner yet.

It wasn't McNeese St. or Morehead St. like in the result, but it did feel a lot like getting worked over at every spot on the floor against LSV twice this year. Knew the opponent was a good team, thought we were a good team, expected a good game, not a lopsided short-fuse-explode-in-your-face blowout loss.

Bad games happen. That’s baseball.
Those worried about offensive production; it really isn’t that big of an issue. Stay with me here. Sure, the team batting average isn’t eye popping. But, the situational hitting and with RISP is higher than average. Priest for instance is hitting over .400 with RISP. This team plays pressure baseball well. They force a lot of walks and are always putting pressure on the defense with steals, bunts, and hit and runs.
My biggest concern is ERA. Our pitcher give up a lot of runs sans two to three arms. Scoring over 7 runs a game should make winning easy with three good starters. We barely have two. Titsworth has to replicate his success regularly before I’m 100% sold as day two weekend starter. Losing two elite arms to Tommy John surgery didn’t help.
This team is fine. Omaha is a lock. Just going to say it now. NC State is a sneaky good team heating up. When the stage is big and the lights are bright, they will come through. Have a little faith.
