Nothing wrong with kids being kids when they win. Not a thing in the world. And about Cam, he is a bonafide "Hot Dog" and just puts on a little mini theatre in everything he does to bring attention to himself. Obviously attention starved as a child. I wish he would stop all that mess but Cam is Cam and he gonna Cam, I guess. As long as he hits and plays a solid center field, I don't care if he stands on his head after every walk and farts the Star Spangled Banner.

That’s the Hartsville blood in him. Look at Gainey for the COOTS. He is from Hartsville too. That’s the way they teach them there. From rec ball all the way through High School.

And everyone that speaks ill of people they don’t know, including Clemson players, are complete toolbags. You obviously don’t realize Clemson has another stud committed for baseball from Hartsville in the class of 2025. All I can think is all you Hartsville haters are jealous you didn’t get to grow up there so you talk bad about everyone from there. That sure does make you a class act.

Agree what toolbar thing to say … these ppl have no clue how the kid was raised and knowing friends of his family know that’s not the case at all. He’s a great kid and you can hear that in his interviews, god forbid a kid get extra competitive between the lines and becomes a gamer… these same ppl would complain that we didn’t have anybody that played with attitude if he was like everyone else… he’s one of my favorite Tiger baseball players iv watched here in a long time, very fun to watch and he’s a leader and knows the team feeds off of him!! Some ppl on this board make it difficult to get on here at times with the pure ignorance they show.

Do you know his family or how he was raised? Obviously not. He grew up in a great family who is humble and that is how he arrived at Clemson. He became confident through his play and is typical of a lot of kids his age when they find success.
You are not a real Clemson fan if you talk disparagingly about how a player was raised. You are obviously a chicken fan at heart and need to go there.

One of the smartest baseball guys i ever had the pleasure of being around and playing for always told the team , I’ll never yell or throw a fit or embarrass you for making a error or striking out . However, you embarrass me or the program with immature actions or or not hustling, all bets are off. And I haven’t even mentioned the fact that my father very well may have jerked my butt off the field in front of 500 people if I.embarrassed him or the family.
End of the day, a young man (he’s not a kid) represents the program and his family and that’s bigger than him. The coaching staff needs to either run him until he has no energy to act like an idiot in front of everyone or treat him like a kid and tell him to go sit in the corner. If you have to act like that to “have fun”, go to UT with Amick. I’ll be glad when he’s drafted and gone

Do you feel the same about current and past football players? Baseball players are singled out because most times they do these things when on offense and the camera is solely on them. Our team seems to feed off his energy. Did you agree with ump when Obertop was tossed in the Louisville game?

He was pissed bc he wanted to freakin hit in the biggest spot of the game, it’s called being a gamer and a competitor… some of you ppl need to get a #### life speaking of embarrassing… a lot of you are talking about a kid that does nothing but give his all for this baseball team… what a joke some of yall are seriously. It’s not like he flipped off the coach or pitcher , he was mad bc he wanted to hit in that situation my lord.

His intensity at the plate is something to behold - almost a throwback to the gritty old vet a la Lyn Dykstra or similar. He was pissed when they intentionally walked him and probably had the attitude that they were a bunch of fairies for not having the guts to pitch to him.
Cam is exactly the kind of spirit a winning baseball club needs if they want to achieve something special.

You are an absolute idiot. Do you even realize that Cam has payed most of the season with a shoulder injury when most future draft picks wouldn’t even step on field in fear of injuring further? He pays with a passion to win that frankly is refreshing. He wants the game in his hands when it’s a crucial time and more times than not he produces. I can’t think of one time when he didn’t hustle out a routine fly ball or ground ball. If you knew ANYTHING about baseball you wouldn’t open your mouth.
He was pissed last night when they intentionally walked him because he understood the situation and he was ready to put that game away. If everyone played like him we would seldom lose.

I respect our fans, backing him up no matter what, but the fact is he was kicked out of a critical baseball last year in the regional, which very likely cost us the Charlotte game. Last night when he got walked and ran to first he's literally talking smack straight to the first baseman's face for high point. Our fans got livid when the guy from Louisville was rounding the bases and saying come on to our players. He just needs to focus his celebrations towards our team. Celebrate, get pumped but don't be looking at other players like you want to fight them and such. In all my years of watching college baseball, I've never seen a player that constantly looked at the picture and opposing team players like you wanted to fight like come on. It's just weird.
