for a variety of reasons that are obvious. First off I think we are getting a solid pic outside of his dad. His football mind will be so advanced coming in day one. If he can adjust to the speed, which I think he can, this is huge.
On a secondary note, most kids believe a coach when they say he will be there for their four years, but they do keep one eve open. Having his son there is an anchor to our program for Venables, he ain't going nowhere.
Things just continue to get better. I used to be waiting for the other shoe to drop for us and it is all over, not anymore.

I would be willing to bet that BV will be at Clemson until he retires from college coaching. I've been saying that ever since he made the comments of how happy he and his family is at Clemson. He has said how loyal he is to the people he works for, he has said how he is not a jump from job to job type person. He has said how much he loves working with Dabo and the rest of our coaches, and how much he loves it at Clemson. He has also said that Clemson is the best place he has worked at, and with some of the best coaches he has ever worked with. Yes, I can easily see BV retiring at Clemson when he is ready to hang it up and make his home somewhere around Clemson just as Danny Ford did....

Most coaches has probably already assumed that he would be playing where ever his dad coached. Why would he not want to be coached by one of the best even if that was his awesome dad, Brent Venables!!!

Editorial Note....The Daniel HS punt return at 7 min 35 sec in the Junior Year (HUDL) highlight video shows Venables blocking a defender in back (clipping) at least 25 yards away from ball carrier. That "highlight" should not have made the video.
Otherwise, it appears that he has the size, speed, and certainly the football IQ to be a great Clemson LB. I am thrilled that he is going to play for Clemson.
