Lost 1955 Clemson Ring Found - Need Repair Experts

Clemson Football Fans I need your help! We found our 1955 Clemson ring and need to get it repaired as it’s been lost outside for many years. It has a major break through the shank and has been bent. I believe it’s 10 k gold. Does anyone have any advice? Have taken it to two jewelers who say they cannot repair. Any help or direction is appreciated. We know we can’t get it perfectly restored but even some repair would be helpful.

I would reach out to them directly to see if they can do any kind of repair to one that old. Otherwise, a goldsmith might be able to help make some cosmetic repairs. Hope you get it fixed!

I dropped my '77 ring off at Turner's in Seneca in '09 with a broken gem stone and needing cleaning. They sent it to Jostens for me and it came back with new stone featuring the date in gold at no charge.

Unless you’re sentimentally attached to that particular ring, you can have it remade. That was part of the bookstore’s contract with Jostins in ‘72 and I believe it had been for some time prior. It cost me $25 or $35 to have it done plus insurance and shipping. Check with the bookstore or whoever handles ring sales now. I think my old friend G. R. Ferguson was class of 55. BSME.

The lifetime warranty covered everything and they mailed it back to me as good as new.

Jostens sized up and refurbished my class of 1996 ring 2 years ago.
I found their contact info on Clemson Alumni Association website.

Send it back to Balfour or whoever does Clemson's ring now. Dad plowed his under on Ford's farm...they sent him a new one!
