I think we finish 25-6 or 24-7. Second place going into ACC tourney. What do you think??

I see loss to Duke at home and on the road at SMU. The other possible loss is just a bad shooting game. They happen!

I was looking at the schedule earlier today myself. I'm thinking it's very very attainable that we end our regular season with a max of three more losses. I'd be shocked if we lost more than four.

They had to play against Pat Kelsey’s team last night.
We’re not nearly as good as Kelsey’s team, even though he’s only in his first year taking over that struggling program.
Hmmmm…. 🤔

This is so true. You said in one simple post what took me a book to write below. Response on judge's post that acc unfairly characterized as being down.
Pat's got 5 losses. 4 to sec schools and Duke. I get it, Louisville has bball tradition, but their program had fallen off the map. Quad 4 level bad and Pat's turned it around quick. No one knows, but we probably should have gone all in with Pat several years ago. Possibly would have been Neff's defining hire.
That said, he went all in with Brad. I posted in another thread, it does appear he's turned our program around. Time will tell. Could Pat have done the same and even more? Probably.
Good post and point Row86

Lol. Kelsey is very good, but if you are saying they would come to Clemson the Tigers couldn't beat them you are crazy. So the Tigers beat Kentucky and Louisville lost to Kentucky. Both teams also had real close wins at Pitt. If Louisville is 2nd right now, Clemson is at least a close 3rd. OK Clemson lost that window to get Kelsey, but would they have been to keep him if they did get him? Don't think so..
Get over it and pull for the Tigers...

The regular season champion is going to lose 3-5 conference games.

At least that’s been the recent trend.
Assuming that happens again, it’s likely we will lose a handful more. We could have a bad shooting night and/or the other team could play out of their minds. It’s a long season, it happens to everyone.

I think it’s realistic to expect a top 4 seed and healthy record. Something like 23-8 (15-5) seems doable and would get it done. The 24-7 (16-4) is possible, I suppose, but would be surprising. The 25-6 (17-3) would be crazy! Road games can be difficult…. The game at FSU will be a challenge…they are getting better. SMU also. Even though they are struggling…we all know that winning at places like Va. Tech, N.C. State and UVA has been difficult for us historically. At home, the UNC game will be tough on a short turnaround after Duke. I feel pretty confident about drubbing the mediocre and bad ACC teams at home the rest of the way. First things first…best the Cuse tomorrow.

Despite all the rhetoric about how awful the ACC is (which is way overblown)

I still say that road wins in conference are tough to come by. I don’t take any of these games for granted or pencil them in as sure wins.

No doubt there's talented players in the acc. I'd say, right or wrong, the absolute butt kicking with the sec challenge. Coupled with the traditional blue blood teams, unc, cuse, uva, and to a lesser extent Miami and fla st (pseudo ND) all being sub par certainly leads to that perception.
Used to seeing the top 3 acc dominate the top 10 in polls and dominate the top 25 as well. Now it's like every sport, the sec dominate the polls.
I still can't see the love for Pitt. Played a lot of q1 q2 teams but 3-6 record. I just have a hard time accepting a quality loss... and that goes for every sport. Don't believe in moral victory. I understand the net/rpi formula judging performance on offense and defense efficiency et al, but there's reasons for that too. May beat a team by 30 points but yiu can't measure what a coach mzy be trying to do. Eg, playing freshman because they're developing for the future, yet that's calculated into the formula.
Anyway, point being, the acc is down compared to the historical performance. BC and cuse are horrible. Va tech is way down, along with the other blue blood teams as mentioned above.
Like it or not, in all 3 of the big boys sports, the acc is 3rd and 4th rate conference. That stings because we could always claim bball as the acc is the best. Not anymore.

I think they finish with 6 losses; they could win every game, but it seems like they have a flat game every few games.

I agree. 14-6 in the ACC unless the Tigers play very well on the road. The big question is can Brownell win more than one ACCT game.

Very dangerous game counting wins under BrownL. What about the ACC tourney too? We gonna advance past our first round of play this year? Go ahead and go all out with the predictions while you are at it.
