Of all the schools, I certainly wouldn’t have picked Duke to have the highest paid football player.

For that kinda money....there would have to be a contract with a lot of conditions.

Depends on the contract. But no smart player/agent would allow an entity to nullify a deal due to injury.

A 3* QB getting 4 million a year..Wow how all of it is ruined. If it's that much $ out there to just throw away why does it take normal working people to have to work their whole lives and not even come close to that

Just imagine, if you will, that you're a 3* qb and you've just had the best year of your life, and you know that there's no way in he!! that you'll ever play in the NFL. Then someone calls and offers you 3 million to transfer from E Georgia St to Virginia Tech. What would you do? Yea, I would too.

If you want to stop this nil bs all schools just say we are not paying and sign high school recruits. The schools are the ones with the leverage but unless they stick together this bs is going to get stupid to the point it makes no sense. There has to be some regulations put in place. You can't tell me the NFL can do it but college can't. Screw all these entitled kids. Who needs the NFL when you can just stay in college and get paid about as much.

NFL 3 year requirement out of high school, is one of the main problems. Where else could any of these young men showcase their skills without college football. Treat them like baseball and let them go straight out of high school. 2 to 3% tops would probably get a sniff at the next level.

It’s not the schools, technically. Your statement doesn’t make any sense.
This is private entities paying individuals. The NCAA has absolutely 0 power here. It is completely out of their control, and it’s illegal for them to try to control it.

I'm sure using the school or your place of work to make money on the side is totally fine. If I was the schools I would sue for my cut because I am providing all the essentials for you to make this money. You ain't getting paid if you ain't playing for a team.

This is the argument that the NCAA should have made in court but unfortunately the attorneys that were representing the NCAA were 2* attorneys

Until NIL deals go public, gotta take these with a grain of salt.
My guess is it could be similar to NFL deals where you see a big number for contracts then figure out guaranteed money is what you really look at.
It says $4M/year....there are probably incentives that get it to the full $4M.
