Sorry Dabo, it is not about 3 plays. It's a lot more than that. It's really about team preparation, play calling and personnel. Dabo is right: it is not about effort. The team is playing hard. However, we have considerable inexperience on our coaching staff and it is showing. Player development has been slow. Execution has resulted in deadly turnovers. With our sufficient talent, we should not have been in a position where "3" plays decide an outcome. That's just a disguised alibi. It's also an indication that someone is living in self-denial. I'm afraid an unwelcome reality check is headed our way this Saturday.

What makes it worse is how they celebrate after they beat us. They all act like they won the Super Bowl. Take chunks out the grass as souvenirs. There fans rush our field. Hard to watch. I guess I would act the same after years of abuse.

What do I want him to say? I want him to quit talking about national championships when we have Syracuse to play(undefeated)and looking strong on both sides of the ball. I want him to quit talking about national championships when we are out of the running for an ACC championship. I want him to quit the "pie in the sky" talk and concentrate on what's next. What do you want?

I've questioned some of Dabo's hires (i.e., hiring former players with little or no prior coaching experience). He addressed one such instance in the off-season, but more work may need to done. I think Dabo has established that he is fully prepared to make those types of decisions.
