Satterfield’s like, “Ok, ok, it’s ok....lord just get me outta here...” Proud of our coach for bringing it up with Satterfield. You rarely find that sort of class among football coaches.

Like Dabo, sometimes you just got to get your point across and "give 'em da business". Not that I'm proud of Booth for doing what he did, very politically incorrect these days, and he needs to be suspended for perhaps at least a game, but something tells me the guy probably deserved it. Anyway, it's football, and personally I love to see the fire... sometimes... like this time.
Go Tigers!!! Great victory over those other birds!!!

What does "very politically incorrect these days" mean? When was it ever politically correct for a college football player to punch another player during a game?

I can’t believe I’m saying it but bad as the punch looked it didn’t occur over nothing... there was a lot of extra curricular mauling and mouthing from the Redbirds I think that player got what he was due... but now our DB will pay the price... always last punch catches the refs eye.

I would bet Dabo's salary that there were previous encounters between the two of them and Booth had just had enough...take the suspension but love the passion. I get the fact it's not PC ...

I agree with everything you said, other than the fact that uofsc has nothing to play for but keep Clemson out of the CFP. Keep the young ones grounded. Hell, if their fans throw water bottles what do you expect from the players

I guess Booth had plenty of time to think about it ...

... on the BUS ride home. You can hear Dabo saying that to Satterfield.
But riding the bus home with the media guys might be an opportunity for Booth to talk to them and get an understanding of what they do ... and that can enhance his academic career.
Make lemonade with lemons!
Booth will be all right...

As an alumnae of Clemson University's undergraduate and graduate school, Booth's behavior made me embarrassed and regretful to be affiliated with the University, a sentiment that I have never felt since Dabo took command of the football program. Booth does not reflect the Clemson ideology of graciousness, decorousness and humbleness, and I would rather have our school lose with dignity, then win with disgrace.

they do a lot more damage to the other player every play than a heated punch. Booth is a great kid from a great family. He will learn and be better because of it.

Great kids don't throw punches during an athletic sporting event. Sorry, but if you are raised right, then you know how to keep your emotions in check during a "game", especially during a noncompetitive one like the Louisville/Clemson game. I have two teenage sons who know better than to physically assault their opponent on the field, instead my boys understand that a superior athlete simply outplays their inferior opponent on the field. As previously stated, I would rather lose with dignity than win with disgrace. We aren't "that school", and I don't ever want to be. I love my Tigers and always will, but I, also, want to be proud of my Tigers, and Booth does not elicit that pride, but rather makes me embarrassed to be a Tiger.

Booth apologized and Dabo apologized for the incident. What more do you want? It's a good thing that Dabo's beliefs follow someone more forgiving than you...Are you free from sin? Are you free of mistakes? Think carefully before answering and I hope you don't live in a glass house...

Regretful ??? Said the alumnae of Clemson University's undergraduate and graduate school, in their first post and who registered yesterday.
“The lady doth protest too much, methinks.”

Umm . .. yeah, you are missing the point. I want to be affiliated with the universtiy who does the right thing whether someone is watching or not. Not everyone deserves a trophy and not everyone should be allowed to be a Clemson alumni.

REALLY? I seriously doubt you have taken a single class at Clemson. You are simply trying to stir the pot.
How do you feel about ALL of those fellow students in Cooterville throwing bottles on the field? AND DO NOT tell me they had a right to do that due to a fee bad non-calls. The bottles started flying at halftime. SO THERE, you COOT! Marinate on that!!!!!!!!!!!

Exactly my point! Thanks for the support! Our players throwing punches makes us no better than the Gamecocks' disgraceful behavior, hence my reference to "that school". I am a former college English instructor (who received her graduate degree from Clemson - my Southern English Masters' Thesis advisor was G.W. Koon - since I have to verify my authenticity as an alumnae simply because I don't condone disgraceful behavior on the field) and a current high school English teacher with two teenage sons, one which is a competitive athlete and the other whom is an academically gifted student considering Clemson as his future Alma mater, which I sincerely hopes he does. However, I still believe that Booth has tarnished our image as a University, as there is no excuse for violence during a game.

Umm, as a high school teacher, I teach snowflakes on a daily basis; moreover, I do not condone excuses, in or or out of the classroom for children failing to meet their obligations , so my students, as well as my children, have to earn their grades/accomplishments both academically and behaviorally. Unfortunately, if their behavior or academic prowess doesn't "earn" the grade, then they suffer. Thus, allowing Booth to keep playing and representing Clemson is the embodiment of a snowflake. He has exhibited all the entitlement of a snowflake, and none of the integrity. However, more concerning is the fact that fellow alumni of Clemson accept Booth's behavior as appropriate.

In South Carolina, unfortunately, English professors don't make more than high school English teachers. During my first college teaching position, I was advised against teaching college English by my fellow PhD. English instructors, as they shared that college professors don't make much more than high school teachers. Thus, although, I had been already accepted into doctorate programs at major universities across the country, I chose to pursue a career in teaching high school, so no resentment here, as I wanted to teach teenagers. Sorry if that doesn't meet your idea of successful (snowflake), but when my former students are emailing me and asking me to proof their English papers for their first Clemson English class, I feel like I have made a difference. What have you done to make a difference? Oh, and snowflake means you melt (or throw punches in adversity) when faced with adversity, as you don't seem to understand the connotation.

How much "proofing" is an acceptable amount? Correcting punctuation, correcting spelling, rewriting sentences, rewriting whole paragraphs. Double standard there much about what is acceptable social behavior?
Please comment on why what you are doing is not considered cheating.
