They are not different. You cannot pull a guard from the 1 inch line and run out of the SG. That's just basic football.

If Chad Morris' short yardage formations are so brilliant, why not line up Stoudt in the shotgun on that last play? Unlike plays at the goal line, we didn't even need a yard, just get back to the line.
If having Stoudt under center is such a risk, why try it from your own goal line when a fumble & Lville recovers in the endzone is the only way Clemson loses?
Chad Morris is the smartest guy in the room. His "genius" may win us some games but sleep easy at night knowing his arrogance will lose us some too.

True. The call should have been a forgone conclusion but with the the Chad I did not know what we would do. Thought the Chad would have taken a safety from the shot gun and punted. Put the game back in Venables lap.
History has shown, there is no limit to how quick we can put the D back on the field in the 2nd half. Thirty seconds to 1 minute should be plenty of a breather right. Had we lost, Venables would have yet again stepped up and took the blame despite the A-1 performance.
