Got married to the most beautiful woman on Thursday. Landed in Iceland today for 9 days. Moving to Arizona on the 12th.

Congratulations to you and your bride, and here's to wishing both of you many happy anniversaries!!!
As a resident of Phoenix at one time in my, I have to say that I loved it when I lived out there. The summers are HOT, but there isn't very much humidity, and a 105 degree day in Phoenix was more tolerable than a 90 degree day here in SC. Even with temperature as high as it gets in Arizona, and I've 115 degree days, the water in the lakes is much colder than the water at Santee or lake Murry. I believe that you and your bride will love Arizona!!!
Also, if you move anywhere close to Phoenix, Salt River is a must go to place in the summer bc the tubing down Salt River is a lot of fun!!!

The last time I was that far north, I stayed up until 3ish am every night for a week……cuz it never got dark. It was perpetually early dusk all night long.
I’d be interested to hear about the natural hot pools. Good? Bad? Indifferent?

The better half went to Iceland with her daughter and they loved it. I was too cheap. Said everything was expensive but also absolutely amazing. Hope you and your bride enjoy!

Very expensive indeed. But alcohol is a lot cheaper than it was when I visited 6 years ago.
But all the beautiful sights cost money for parking now. They were free 6 years ago.
Reindeer burger w/ fries + fish and chips + two beers cost $75 at a restaurant. So not terrible. Food was amazing.
