ACC vs SEC Baseball

I did a quick analysis of the brackets and success of each - a few interesting facts.

- 11 SEC teams selected; 8 ACC teams selected; through Sunday, 4 ACC teams advanced and 4 SEC teams advanced. UNC vs LSU on Monday and UF vs Okla St. on Monday

This is where it gets interesting

- Of the 4 ACCs teams that have advanced, all 4 had an SEC team that was in the bracket in which they had to potentially contend with; UNC would be the 5th.

- Of the 4 SEC teams that have advanced, 3 of 4 did not have an ACC team to contend with (only 1 advanced that had to contend with ACC team - UGA vs GT). If Florida advances - this would be 4 of 5 that would not have had to contend with an ACC team to advance. LSU would be only the 2nd SEC team to advance where there was an ACC school in the bracket.

The NCAA looks out for SEC teams in every single sport. You can take that to the bank. They are as corrupt as the SEC.

Tennessee is the only one I wouldn’t want to play right now. The rest I like our chances.

The reason the ACC hosts are more likely to have an SEC team as a 2 seed is because there are more SEC teams in the field.. if the ACC had 11 teams and the SEC had 8 teams, then the SEC hosts would be more likely to have two seeded ACC teams does that make sense?

I said this in football season, basketball season, and looks like it will come to fruition in baseball as well.

The sec is one of the best conferences but also one of the most inflated conferences. We’ve seen it play out in every major sport this year, with bowl placement, ncaa tourney, and now being told all these teams like Arkansas are top notch.

The ACC was the most under valued conference in baseball and is at least on par with the sec this season. Remember they had UF top 5 for half the season, even after getting swept by undefeated fsu who for a while wasn’t even ranked!
