At Texas Saturday, if what I’ve heard & read is sadly correct!
Saying, Clemson (whether Athletic Dept or others) had the right to take the 500 choice seats on lower level that Texas or CFP Committee mandated and use them as they chose..
Thus it “appears” that Clemson chose to not have the full Tiger Band represent (350?) but rather send a large Pep Band and thus use the other seats for Clemson “personalities”.
What thinks you?
For me having a huge Tiger Band doing their great mid-field entertainment regiment in front of 105,000 Texas fans and maybe a snippet shown on TV to a national audience would have been the better $ investment and allocation of seats.

I’m somewhat indifferent if Clemson fans or Clemson band occupy the seats. It the full band goes that deprives our fans of seats and vice versa.

fans can buy tickets. Especially if they're ones w/ connections. The band is part of the pageantry and institution of the game. Here we are playing in the first round of on-campus playoff games ever, against a mammoth program in the history and landscape of the game, our FIRST EVER meeting with them, and it's AT THEIR PLACE, and we send a bad suitable for a basketball game? Lame.

I have no problem if it is the full band or the pep band as long as one of them is sent. Too many times, we've seen visiting schools send nothing. I always travel to one or more away games each year, and I'm grateful when we have our full band or pep band. I think it can make a difference especially to our fans that traveled. It is even more special when we win and our alma mater is played on their field at the end of the game. I enjoy that most of all with the band, fans and the players.
We now require schools to make a decision about seats in the lower deck. I think that started this year. We've seen too many times where our band has been placed high in the stadium when we travel.
Timing and logistics could be a factor with this being the weekend before Christmas as this has never occurred before.

I'd rather they funnel the huge expense of taking a 400 person band and equipment out there back into the program.

Bowl game

This may very well be Clemson’s bowl game. IPTAY always pays for the band to attend the bowl. This game is too important to not have the noise from the band present.
CFP needs to change the rules on the amount of tickets allocated to the visiting team. The higher ranked team has home field advantage. They should not get most of the tickets. The four teams that lose this weekend will have played their bowl and are done. If the loser happens to be the visiting team, the 3500 ticket allotment is not right.

Tiger Band in full needs to be there. Those guys bring the excitement and noise every game. At away games, you can hear them holding notes as long as legally possible.
I am curious how many seats went to IPTAY staff. At ND two years ago, IPTAY had a crew in Chicago. I know because I was at the IPTAY on location package hotel. I really hope Clemson AD can be more transparent moving forward.
