After another dismal start to a season and getting benched. I honestly believe he will hit the portal after this debacle to follow in August / September. I’m sorry, dude can’t read a D and don’t expect this to change because he’s a junior. If Clemson had a QB they might would hang around with UGAY but it’s going to be ugly and over by end of 1st quarter. Hopefully QB recruiting will take a turn for the better.

I expect Klubnick to play moderately better than last year because that’s a reasonable expectation for a quarterback in his second year of an offense. He won’t be all world but he’ll be better than a lot of QB’s on our schedule.

The expectation for him to play better is also in the fact the OL has a year with a new coach, and the WR room is a heckuva lot better. He will have everything a QB needs to be successful. Even slightly above average play will land us in a good spot at the end of the season.

If the wide receivers don’t improve even the 2’s and 3’s it will be a tough year but you have to think the offense as a whole will improve in year two of Riley. Here’s to looking forward to a good year. Go Tigers

I have to agree with the fact that Coach Luke will coach a better OL. This will give Klubnik more time to read defenses. I expect Cade will have the BEST year he's had at Clemson in 2024, and he will surprise some people. All he and any QB needs is confidence. Every great FB player has had that element. His skills are there. A mental EDGE is all he needs, and watch your words about the Georgia game. It could be a shocker to the National scene in College Football. A lot of toothpicks may be needed from the crow-eating prognosticators who are speaking DEATH on Clemson after this game. Be forewarned.

No he won’t. He’s one of the worst QB’s in the power 4….. This guy couldn’t even find the endzone in Williams Brice. So for all you high and mighty fans that love to bash the coots just think about that when judging Cade. Save the injury excuse at WR. It’s the gamecocks and their entire defense was hurt except 3 starters

Maybe you should wait before labeling Cade a bust. DJ had nearly 2 seasons before he got labeled a bust. Cade has had 1 full season and 2 games.

No doubt. It’s a shame we’re gonna have to waste another season and another good defense because Dabo won’t find better players. Cade is awful in every aspect of the position. He can’t do anything. He gets touched he goes down. He tries to cut and he wobbles and falls. He can’t see over the line. He can’t anticipate, can’t extend plays. He’s dumb as a brick and he doesn’t listen to the coaches on 3rd and 1 or 4th and 1. He lets the clock expire at the end of halfs with no timeouts. We run plays for Briningstool over the middle and he doesn’t throw it. The kid sucks something awful. Our stupid high and mighty football fans are gonna have to suffer another year and tbh the ones that support Cade as Clemson QB deserve to

Wow. I get trying to be realistic about Cade’s abilities, but with fans like some of you folks who needs Gamecocks wandering around. If Cade performs like last season (turnovers, rogue play execution) then Coach Riley should be the one shown the door. Two seasons to get a physically talented QB prepared and effective in his offense as the coordinator and QB coach says atleast something about a coaching failure. The things Cade is doing wrong (mostly mental) are correctable because we have little evidence he’s got a poor attitude and won’t put in the effort/work. It’s Riley’s job to unlock that potential especially with likely improvements from the other position groups.

He threw for about 2850 last year with a weak OL, weak WR's. and had another year under his belt. You really think combing for another 650 yards passing for the season is that wild? 3500 yards passing is not crazy. I will be surprised if he doesn't throw for 3500 yards actually. Michael Penix almost passed for 5,000 yards. As far as rushing, The rushing yards I should revise. I will say 450 yards and not 600.

This would be great to see and hopefully it happens. I don’t count stats in the division II schools they play so in essence I count 10 regular season games for any school. This being said Cade threw for approx. 2,660 yards last year ( Bowl Game included 11 games ) which would give him about 240 yards per game. Not bad given the offense circumstances. If he can improve by 85 yards per game at 325 per 10 games then I will take that and hopefully be in the hunt for the playoffs. Go Tigers

I think we will see a night and day difference in Cade this season. Reason being, I feel Matt Luke will have his OL much improved, the receivers will be healthy and with new talent at this position we should shine. Cade needs the game to slow down at bit and he has to TRUST in the play given to him.

Some of y'all are seriously miserable.
Maybe CK2 steps up. Maybe the OL and WR are marginally (or significantly) better. Maybe Riley pushes the right buttons.
And maybe none of those things happens.
But honestly, a small improvement in any of those areas will likely place us in the playoffs.
Why don't the Debbie Downers go back to FGF, or follow archery, or water polo.
Try to enjoy the ride. It's better than borrowing misery from a future...that hasn't even happened yet.

NOBODY thinks Cade has been a world-beater. I don't hear anyone arguing that he is.
However, some of us -- not you -- have the capacity to see that he was not the only factor in last year's struggles.
This is probably difficult for you to understand -- since you appear to have no personal experience with it -- but some people grow. Cade might (or might not).
I think the ship has sailed on you though.
And some of us don't believe that trying to pay a $5 million prima dona transfer is the answer.
The way you express yourself, I think you'd be better off finding another sport...or another team.

Regardless of his point of view he IS entitled to it. I’ve been critical of certain players at times and my pulse suffered. I was screaming for Lawrence to replace Bryant and so many gave me TD for it. I got as low as 93%. Discourse is the heart of academia. We grow by listening to differing opinions. Even those we think are wrong. If I’ve learned anything through multiple degrees; it’s that I know nothing. Nothing can be proven. We can only strong evidence to support our claims.
The point I’m trying to make is that a fan can be negative about things and still love that team. Fan is short for fanatic after all. Just mark down what he said and present evidence after the season.

The OP seems to be talking out of his hind parts to put it mildly. I love how adult grown men (maybe women) are bashing a kid who has been nothing but all in. Any of y'all ever taken a snap in an actual competitive football game? Try doing it while the line is on roller skates and in your lap from the snap. Known why the run game was better than passing, because any lineman will tell you run blocking is easy compared to pass blocking. Folks, sorry but our line has been TERRIBLE since Trevor's last year, and meh at best for a decade. No? Please, tell me about all those high draft pick lineman we have had over the years. Caldwell was highly respected but for the life of me I just never saw a nasty road grader line or a brick wall of pass blocking. So. back to Cade. The kid was an actual stud at the highest level in the best HS football state in the country along with Florida. He chose us and hadn't been a NIL hound or Portal junmper. He put his nose down, and yeah, made mistakes. sometimes big ones. Again, how great is your critical thinking when you ate getting the like pushing into you. Honestly, the ONLY QB I have seen in a decade that could have maybe done great with that line was Deshaun. Trevor maybe due to a quick release but not even sure about him. Folks, Cade CAN play, maybe he balls out, maybe he stinks up the joint, but let's actually try to support him rather than bash him all over social media. He's a Tiger and committed to us and also had a HECK of a lot of skin in the game, something most of us don't. Go Tigers!

You’re an idiot and you’re the one that should get out of Clemson. You give all of us a bad name. Pretty much any QB including Deshaun and Trevor need at least 3 seconds of protection to go thru progressions and make reads. Cade had far less than that on most plays last year. DW4 was a special talent at QB. He had a will and desire to win that I haven’t seen since. If TL16 had the desire to win that Deshaun had Clemson would have 2 more titles in the trophy case. Put morals and ethics aside. I would guess that a large majority of us don’t the men they are, but as far as players in my opinion DW was different from any other QB Clemson has had in my lifetime.

No balls Charlie doesn’t know his ### from a hole in the ground. If you look at his post and the language he uses he isn’t a Clemson fan or a Clemson man. My guess is a coot in disguise or bucknut. Most of the loses last year were team losses. Cases stats weren’t bad. He made plenty of mistakes but so did everyone else. Last year was a season of what can go wrong will go wrong. Duke game two goal line fumbles, FSU game blind side sack scoop and score to send it to OT. Nate got hurt at the end of the game and they picked on his back up. Miami game another goal line fumble. No state batted ball in the air for a pick six. All of the games were winnable if the mistakes hadn’t happened, but they did. And you have ######## and idiots that want to talk junk about a single kid who had over 2800 yards passing for 64% and 19 TD’s. 6 of his 9 interceptions were either on receivers or the o line ala No state. Last four games of the year they made less mistakes and won all the games.
Like a lot of other posters have said the slightest improvement in o line and receiver play and Clemson will have a heck of a year. Go Tigers!

Georgia will be a great indicator. They will get home occasionally, and if he gets happy feet and panics that’ll be a sign that he hasn’t progressed in terms of processing and reacting efficiently.

I have a better prediction for ya. Your garbage fire in Columbia will continue. Beemer will go 2-10 and will be a special teams coordinator somewhere by this time next year. You’ll be relegated to conference USA where you belong.
Cade will do much better this year. Improved oline play coupled with some real dudes at receiver will take away those costly errors he made trying to do too much alone. The guy has had no one to throw to and less time to find them. We could have two 1000 yard rushers this year. That’s my bold portion of these predictions. The rest are just common sense. But common sense isn’t common especially when you’re a coot. Coot.

Cade is going to be fine plus our Daniel High QB, might just win the job during fall practices if he plays like he did in the spring game.
Talking to those in practice, Pearman is a heck of a QB and could take Cades job if he doesn’t do much better this season.
The Daniel kid can play like many of the others from there(best holders ever Swinney kids) like Shaq Lawson who’ll climb on another teams bus and threaten the whole team 😂🤣😭😂

the ######## blather above. Kid blew away DJU's first year starter numbers here last season. What for a few missed FG's and goal line fumbles earlier in the season the narrative around our program would be significantly different today. If he progresses accordingly he can absolutely lead us to a special season this year considering the new talent coming in at WR, the continued development of our returning receiver corps, and a new attitude along the OL, plus of course what will be a ferociously good D.
We don't have the nation's 3rd longest active winning streak heading into this season by accident.
