Keep CFP commitee and expand to eight teams

I think the committee still is the best format. Keep preference for conference championships (but no automatic birth), take into account scheduling, etc.

If there are only Power 5 team's that are deemed worthy one year. Fine. If one year there are three Group of 6 wothy, then fine.

Boom. Mic drop.

Only way 8 would work is ditching the CCGs IMO,

which I'd be happy with as it would mean conferences could get rid of divisions and go more round-robin. Conference champs (regular season) plus 3 at-large is the only way the Power 5 would propel this forward. Schedule this round the same weekend as the CCGs, then cast the losers into the rest of the bowl system for later.

they should give automatic bids to the winner of the p5 leagues and have 3 at large teams. still gives some undefeated less than p5 teams and allows the title to be determined on the field. also puts more importance on league play and winning your cc.

1. Start the season ealier and give every team two open dates.
2. Increase scholarships from 85 to 100, a season that long takes a toll.
3. Play 1st round at higher seeds home field.
