$20M for a 5 minute speech.
Glad to see capitalism and racism are keeping you down.

Oprah was paid a million herself, or to her company rather. She just stared at Harris as if she was in total shock at how intellectually bankrupt Kamala is.

They tried celebrities to motivate the young vote. They tried promises of college debt forgiveness. They tried abortion. They tried death to democracy. They tried shaming. But in the end young voters said “nah I think I would like to buy groceries and maybe buy a house someday”.

Well they only have themselves to blame now. Trump doesn't give a chit about them

This can't be. We were told all of this Kamala support was totally organic prior to the election. You mean she actually paid famous people to pretend to like her and the usual leftist rubes believed them? Never change lefties.

This is the daily MAGA lesson (that they never learn) that not everything you read on twitter is factual.

I doubt the FEC filings will break it down to specific artists. But based on NewsNations article it is probably a safe bet to say the campaign paid at least $15 million in associated costs in getting these celebrity endorsements. I don't know what the norms are for celebrity political endorsements but this seems a bit steep for something that is portrayed as being freely given by the celebrity....

that money went directly to the celebrities themselves. “Event production” doesn’t mean it was a check into the celebrities’ bank accounts. It could, but no proof of that.

Not trying to be political in my response.. But in regards to the celebrity info posted on this thread, I wonder if this is "real money". For instance, did the Celebrities donate x amount knowing they would get a speaking fee to charge against. Some how making it a wash through tax donation loop holes or write offs etc. I don't have that kind of money so I don't know if this is how wealthy people do things. Either way its completely mind blowing the amount of money spent on this stuff. I am sure there is data to suggest it works, but it seems like it is such a waste.

tax deductions don't work like that

if you donate 20 million to a charity you don't get 20 million of "write off". You just don't pay taxes on that 20 million dollars. You can pay the tax, about 50%, and put 10 million in your pocket and give 10 million to the government or you can give 20 million to a charity.
Political contributions are not tax deductible.
Kamala hired celebrities to perform, they are paying tax on their earnings.
