He’s not going to lead Tennessee anywhere because he doesn’t know what he’s doing
How do you say, “No one is above the program”, when you originally offer these players millions of dollars anyways?
Why else do you freakin’ think Nico Iamaleava committed to Tennessee?
And then on top of being so oblivious, you had to go and “move on” from him.
It’s hilarious because Nico gave you a real chance. I actually would feel a lot better playing Tennessee in the playoff without Nico instead of them having him.

Classic single dimensional thinking. Do you think the inbred UT fans would be patient enough for him to build a team organically? What has Tenn ever offered to a player except a bag of money? Fuller was famous for it. Heck, fans harped on Dabo for not diving into the portal and he has a championship ring for every finger.

1. He won't recruit the portal.
2. He won't pay HS seniors enough NIL money to get them to commit.
Conclusion: He'll never be able to compete with the elites. He can't recruit in today's game. He's a dinosaur. His ideas that culture and academics matter is antiquated. Time for him to step aside and go talk to FCA kids and leave coaching to the grownups who understand the real world.

It’s relative
You can’t just adapt to the full extreme of modern coaching and just have success fall in your lap
You have to have good coaches, belief, good schemes, athletes that actually produce what they are capable of
It’s about the full system you’ve got, and Clemson has been easing into this new mindset and it’s working out better

There is nothing odd about it. Big time QB's get paid. This QB thought he was bigger than the team eventually and was holding out and wouldn't practice. He couldn't allow it. It's pretty straightforward and he did the right thing.

I don’t think Tennessee or Heupel refused to honor his contract. The QB wanted more than what was in his contract and they declined to give it to him. I believe the QB is the one that didn’t honor his side of the contract.

A little different imo. In the past it was illegal. Heupel did well. You offered x amount of money and the kid thinks he is worth more. Told him thanks but no thanks. I like it personally. There will be more of the same with other programs as well. Not a Tennessee issue but an issue with their being no rules.
