Iir was NOT just conservative play calling that made this too close. It was a worn out defense (our heroes again), weather conditions (huge factor), and the chess match (the Irish had our D figured out by the end). Also, ND had to play with reckless abandon- they had no choice.

Just enjoy a big win.

Our lack of conditioning from playing easy teams and being off two weeks also played a factor. Had a a lot to do with why we were gassed late.

Good news is we will be better prepared next time.
