I live a fulfilling life....but I don't think it's too much to ask of our team to not be terrible. I mean, we are paying the head coach a top 5 salary to play like a bottom 5 of the ACC team.

Stop throwing low-T tantrums and freaking out all the time. I am breathing normally when I say our football program has serious issues and we have fallen into mediocrity. It's not the end of the world. No reason to cry or scream. If that triggers you then you have personal problems. Get over yourself.

Most of us donate money… life goes on. The program has made progress and is much more fun to watch than the last 3 years. We all knew we were light years away from a natty, how about we just enjoy watching our boys win or lose. Offense is much more fun again. We all want to win every game, but we are making progress. Chill out.

Is what you are seeing on the field worth the 12M plus in payroll the University is spending?
If the answer is yes then I can understand your POV.
For the rest of us that aren't seeing the ROI we are frustrated because that's our IPTAY donations, fees, and other assorted charges that are being under valued. Add in the few of us that have jobs that require high value deliverables to a demanding customer base and we have double the frustration because if we performed as poorly as the coaching staff we would be on a PIP or looking for a new job.
Consider our POV and you can see why we might be a tad 'excitable'.

The problem is your point of view is unrealistic. If you want to pull for a team that's going to be in National Championship contention consistently on a 20 year basis, you're simply going to have to pull for a different team.

Interesting how everyone in this string that presents a counter argument 'has problems' or 'needs counseling'.
I spent time and was kind to explain my POV objectively without name calling. I even hinted at some life advice for you.

Think back to Dabo having a laugh at CK2’s awful quick kick.
So many of our fans were furious. Seemed like they wanted to see some Will Muschamp-esque insane reaction from Dabo.
Instead, Dabo laughed out off and ribbed CK2.
Why was that a great coaching move?
Because it deflected a pending tidal wave of anxiety and gave everyone a bit of perspective.
Instead of playing tight and scared in 2nd half, our guys are playing football as if it were a game. An important game, no doubt, but still just a game. If our players were all-Muschamped because if a wild man rant from Dabo, then they wouldn’t be relaxed enough to trust themselves to make the plays when those plays come to them.
