sorry I got your panties all wadded up. The response has been slow, that's a fact. The 82nd Airborne was sent to Haiti within 48 hours. That's a fact. 1000 soldiers are being sent from the 82nd Airborne over a week after the Hurricane, that's a fact. There are way more guardsmen in Florida than the rest of the states combined, that's a fact. I spend a lot of times in the Mountains and know it well, that's a fact. This is personal to me and it upsets me why it has taken so long with all the death and destruction.
The response from locals and the public has been overwhelmingly positive.

You don't know how many guardsman are in NC that's a fact
I worked very closely with a NC NG colonel who is one of the people running the response and all she's trying to do is save lives that's a fact.
Haiti doesn't have NG troops already stationed there who know the area better than an Army group that's a fact
All you care about is trying to make the politicians you don't like look bad that's an opinion
If you knew what the hale you were talking about youd be on the ground in WNC directing the response; you need to #### that's a fact.

NC than it did to Haiti? What was the purpose of waiting a week before deployment? The Army is much better equipped to deal with clearing and making temporary bridges than anyone else, by far.
The response has been slow, too slow. There are still people that have no access to food or water let alone power which will take weeks to restore.
