Does Jalen Hurts regret not transferring sooner?

Does he feel like it was worthwhile spending a year of eligibility on mop up duty? I know the pundits were praising Saban for putting Hurts in on their last possession but in my opinion it was an insult. Last year Jalen was pulled and Tua got all the praise and accolades for the natty win over UGAy. This year Tua was pulled and it was Jalen that got to be put in as the token finisher for what will go down as one of the most embarrassing blowouts of the team that was put on the highest pedestal. What an insult...I feel badly for Jalen to be put into that situation.

Jalen stayed to graduate . . .

Without the diploma, he would have to sit a year. Yes, he would have gained a year of college eligibility at the second institution, but there is enough film on him that he deemed it unnecessary to transfer early.
Also, I honestly think the lad loves BAMA!!! And there is nothing wrong with a passionate love for ones University!!!
Clembert - I wish I could TU you again to get you to 10K!!!!!!! Someone will help shortly!!! Congrats!!!!!!!

Good point about staying to graduate, but don't you think the Bama staff could have kept him under the 4 game limit so he could redshirt? I thought he started as a true freshman, but may he took his RS year then, so who knows. If he still has a RS year, then they could have used that this year, and he'd have 2 years after transferring.

He wasn't forced. I'm sure he was encouraged, just like we wanted KB to play.

I will say he did help them win the SEC. If Tua hadn’t been pulled I don’t think they would have made the playoffs.

What happens when Tua is stinking things up next year and there's not someone of Hurts experience and ability to bail them out?

Doubtful, he’s a pretty good guy it seems.
I’m sure he wanted to be there for his teammates in case they needed him while finished his degree
