I would check out the Jacksonville Beach area. Great brewery called Hoptingers
I wasn’t a huge fan of downtown Jacksonville. Lots of homeless people

It’s a little bit of a drive, maybe 30 minutes if I had to guess.
A little south of jax beach is where they play the Players golf tournament. So that whole side of town is way nicer

it's about 15 miles or so from the stadium to the beach. Will depend on traffic how long that takes, most times of the day you are talking 30 minutes+.
I lived near the beaches and worked downtown - that was 25 years ago. Downtown is not what it was. Last time I was there about a year ago the downtown was a little run down I would agree.

Could stay in the Amelia island area or Fernandina Beach area before Jacksonville. Then drive in game day and then you have a head start in coming back home avoiding the traffic. I-95 is a mess in that area and the Christmas-NewYears traffic can be bumper to bumper for a long time. Need reserved parking.

Can’t beat this area to stay. Can drive straight down Hwy #1 from there to avoid I-95.

Recommendations for restaurants on the 28th. Need kid friendly. Taking my grandson to his first Clemson game!

It’s dicey.
Town Center (Atlantic Beach/Neptune Beach) is far safer and nicer. Parking is an issue unless you valet (free if going to the supported restaurants/bars). Reve Brewing on Mayport Road in Atlantic Beach is worth it (gets crowded really quickly). In Jacksonville itself 5 Points in Riverside has decent places. San Marco has some as well. These are on the South Bank of the river.

(near Town Center) in Neptune Beach - you can walk there, just south on Lemon St, is worth it too.

place to stay: Google The Club Continental in Orange Park, Fl. 30 min drive to the stadium. This was the winter retreat on the Johns River for the Palmolive soap family. Only 22 rooms and grounds you won’t believe! We serviced NAS JAX and I’d get government rates(!!) to stay there. Got the bridal suite in 2000 for our 30th anniversary and wife was impressed! (With the room!)
Tailgating at a grassy lot at 717 Lafayette St - through Parkwhiz app. Way cheaper than a parking pass at Clemson - and no dang hills on the 15 min walk to the stadium! Hoping other Tiger fans will be there!
Go Tigers!

St. Augustine is also a great option for Jax events. Little bit of a drive but the town is awesome and lots of history and cool spots. A few excellent restaurants to boot. Also closer to Neptune and Atlantic Beaches.

I always stay in St. Augustine. Golfing the day before, great restaurants, shopping for wife of RB, and relatively close to the stadium.
