Can't say that I'm surprised, as Artavis was the only one that I expected to potentially come back. But you get your degree in 3 years for a reason. I know Deshaun and Mike will be high picks and Artavis and Wayne shouldn't fall past day 2. All four of them will be solid professionals and they will represent Clemson the right way.
Running back depth is going to be a concern for us next year I believe. Tavien will get his reps and CJ Fuller has come on strong, but the group behind Wayne has struggled at times in 2016.
I think 2017 might look a little like 2014 for us. Our defense is going to be too good, with us losing Boulware, Watkins, Jadar Johnson, and Tankersley, those will all hurt, but there's still plenty of experience and talent with us most likely bringing back about 7 starters and a ton of depth.
You'd be kidding yourself if you don't think there's a drop off at QB when Deshaun leaves, and the offense may have some growing pains at first. But we should only have to replace 1 starter on the offensive line, and there's plenty of youth at the skill positions that has already shown flashes.

There will likely be a slight drop off in offensive production next year. I do not think it will be anywhere near as bad as the 2014 offense was.
We'll have a better and more experienced O-Line, Cain/Renfrow etc will step into Williams/Scott roles, the QB will be the wild card, along with the RB spot. I think it's probably Zerrick Cooper, possibly the Johnson kid from Indiana. After seeing Nick come spell DW4 last Saturday I am not overly concerned. Think Streeter will have the starter ready. I would guess either Fuller or Feaster will be the starter/co-starters at RB.
Our defense will be our defense. It always is under Venables. I'd say the FSU game is key next year, win that one and we are most likely a playoff contender.

I agree. When you recruit like we do the expectations still remain high.

that you just don't hear anything about Zerrick Cooper. Is he that far down the list or is he being hidden until next year. Early comparison was that he is close to being another Watson. Hmmm, just curious.

He's redshirting, so it's tough to tell. You hear people talking about him on 105.5 and around Clemson plenty, but it's more like whispers because he's running the scout team, not 1st team offense. Walt Deptula says he has the best arm and throws the best deep ball of any QB on our roster.
I personally think Zerrick will be our starter at the beginning of 2017, but you never know. Give me Bryant, Johnson, Cooper, and Brice and let them all 4 compete for the job. Someone will emerge and one of those 4 will be solid. Not Deshaun, but a solid QB.

If he has been running the scout team I can't think of a better way to get the experience and heads up on the other QB possibilities. You would think going again a Venable's Defense will have him extremely prepared. The only down side to this is not being able to use the 1st team Offense. Will look forward to see how this plays out.

A lot of the guys that are on the scout team now will be the next stars for Clemson, so it's a good thing Zerrick is gaining experience and timing with them, as well as practicing against the best D line in the nation. It's next man up, nothing has changed. Keep beating all the teams that want to be Clemson, best is standard, doesn't change just because we are sending out first round draft picks

If lose to Pitt and Wake then Louisville is champ. If we win either game we're champs. Got to play the games first.

Congratulations fellas! You earned it! Go to the league and keep representing for Clemson!
Now comes the talk of everyone hoping that Clemson falls off, just like they have hoped for the last 4 years when the defense was suppose to worse and worse every year after losing all that NFL talent. But we have a staff that recruits at the highest level, sustained success isn't just a flash in the pan and chasing what's hot. It's committing to a process and having everyone around the program be "All In", and thank God that the people close to the program that really matter are hand picked by Dabo and are All In All The Time

NFL draft

I'm sure most will agree, Williams and Watson are going be high draft selections. So it makes sense for them to leave. And maybe both being a top 10 pick. The questions lie with Gallman and Scott. First off, Scott is probably not going go in the top 3 rounds. Size is an issue, doesn't catch the deep ball well. And hasn't had alot of ST success to push his stock up. Then there's Gallman...Has he done enough to grade a top 2 round pick, maybe- Maybe not. So, that's my take.
