Have you met some of our so called CU fans in the lots lately??? Found their fans very nice and we showed old time Clemson hospitality! We wish them well the rest of their season.

We had 2 sets of App State fans tailgating next to us and they were all very friendly. The ones we met in the stands were equally friendly. Sorry that some of you had bad experiences but there are bad apples in every fan base. Except for the coots and jawjaw, they all suck.

Considering Tigernet tends to be a negative site, I wouldn’t base an opinion of fans on reactions here. That being said, my experience was positive and many stayed through the beating.

Agreed Lady...last several home games I've walked through lot 2 and just been embarrassed for some of our fans. It's just a different day in age. Family friendly environments these days would be Rated X thirty years ago. Sad really how far American culture and society has fallen and digressed.

Tried to walk thru Lot 2 . Agree on Lot 2… a total drunken massive mess… post complaints to Ath Dept on their input site. Parking pass holders should be held liable for what is happening in their spots and the CU AD needs to put complaint and enforcement policies in place! This drunken massive party mess needs to be stopped. Sad.

Just a comment on the Small School? Their enrollment is 21,500 and was founded in 1899, 10 years after Clemson.
While the USC elites were calling Clemson a Cow College, the UNC elites called App State a Hillbilly College.
If you are ever in the Boone, NC area, take some time to check out App State. Pretty impressive campus.
Not what I would consider a small school, and still growing…..

Agree and on my list is to attend a game at Kidd Brewer stadium on their campus in the Fall. Have seen it and it is very impressive.

Well I was able to make the trips to Tiger town on Saturday for our games, the Tiger fan base was know as having the best, nicest fan base of all of college FB, but I've noticed by a bunch of Tiger fans that has filed through T-Net over the past 10 years that our good name of having great fans were coming to an end very soon...

Based on football program, stadium size, conference etc… duh.. small compared to Clemson. Regardless they were very nice fans we met and well followed! Embarrassing some of post on this site and hopefully those who posted these comments were not a holes to them. But noticing issues in some of the lots that would not be a surprise.

Not a small school. They have as many students as Clemson. Had positive results from my fan contact with them.

Our experience with them last night was equally impressive but I keep being told we were in the minority too. We enjoyed their company and invited them into our tailgate as well.

There was a few rowdy ones while we were standing in line to get in the game but the 2 that sat in front of us didn’t say a single word. Overall I’ve been around much worse fans.

App State adults and families were fine. Their students were on the level of Maryland and NC State that is below Coots.

Nothing, and I repeat NOTHING is lower than coot fans. I have been to college campuses all over this great nation. I have never been to any campus where even the female fans are puking, fighting, humping, and cussing out everyone that walks by…… except for in Columbia, SC.

The mountaineers in our section were a group of approximately 30-year-old men who kept exchanging insults with the Clemson students across the aisle. Our impression was that the ASU families were nice enough, while the males traveling in packs were acting juvenile. I wasn't especially impressed with how the boys across the aisle were acting either, but given their ages there is still hope that they will grow out of that phase.

Been going to games over 40 yrs & have never seen an opposing fan base talk so much freaking garbage prior to a game!!! The arrogance was high!! Other than maybe NC St, these fans were the worst!

So, the takeaway seems to be, some had good experiences and some had bad. Pretty much the same everywhere I suspect.

I wanted them to be good fans, I know several folks that are fans and even a former player. My experience in the downtown and walk into the stadium was fine, we had a group behind us that was pretty rowdy, foul mouthed and whined loudly the entire game so I would have to say we didn't have a great experience with them.
