What are y’all’s thoughts. I’ve had a terrible gut feeling about this. With Dabo feeling the fan base has been somewhat ungrateful.
By walking into a&m it would be a spitting image of when Dabo took over for us. A&M hasn’t won a conference title since 1998 and a natty in forever. So that fan base would be grateful for anything positive. This reminds me of when we greeted the team after winning the ACC title in 2011. We showed our gratitude a lot more back then. And let’s be honest we’ve done a lot of complaining the past 3 seasons. So I could see Dabo wanting a happier environment. The money would also be unlimited there for NIL and facilities and whatever else.
Anyways I hope my gut is wrong. GO TIGERS!!!

I think they hired Mark Stoops. Another poster on here had a link to an article saying that they are waiting to announce it tomorrow.

It’s being reported that stoops is being hired at ATM, so I don’t think you have to worry about that

I lived in that area for 20 years, so I can tell ya about Aggies and their supporters. They are the Antithesis of Dabo and all he stands for. You think Clemson fans are band wagoneers, you ain't lived until you see the shenanigans Aggies do. Any coach going there will have his hands full with all the Big Donors who are involved in the program and feel entitled to run it for the athletic department. Aggie fans are a lot like Coots, in that they are loyal to a fault, and as rabid as they come. Aggies are Aggies.......what can you say. They are just different. Dabo would be like a fish out of water in College Station. Bad idea.

Ignoring they've already hired Stoops, if Dabo thought A&M would be a more positive, happy environment than Clemson, then it would be obvious he's lost it and we wouldn't want him as a coach any more anyway. A&M is extremely cut-throat. They'll throw money at you, but if you don't immediately perform, the entire fanbase will be calling for your head. They've wanted to fire Jimbo for a while, and just held off because they couldn't afford it until this year. Dabo would be fired from A&M in 3 years.
