boxscore from the game 1/6 at Clemson - when we were 11-2, #16 in the country - and had a shot at REALLY making some noise against #8 tarholes . . . .
And we crapped the bed.
PJ fouled out - played 25 mins - went 0-5 from 3pt land - and Bacot was a top-performer of the game.
jk will probably say there was no one there, too - fyi - you know - like that Virginia game he likes to lie about.
Another glowing Brownell game when there was a lot there for the taking.

If he is in the low post on defense, he will more than likely get into foul trouble and be out of the game for the most part. Offensively, he’s got to play inside or there’s no chance of winning.

I think we should be totally fine as long as NONE of the following things occur:
1. Not enough hot water at the hotel
2. Didn’t get enough sleep last night
3. Coach B’s shirt doesn’t fit quite right
4. Pregame meal didn’t taste good enough
5. Front desk attendant didn’t smile this morning
6. No cream for the coffee
7. Too much traffic on the way to the arena
8. It’s a little chilly outside
9. Don’t make enough 3-pointers
10. Players don’t execute the brilliant “game plan”
I’m sure I missed some things.
But if we can avoid everything on that list, I love our chances!

Play at a pace that benefits Clemson, be efficient offensively, minimize turnovers. It will be interesting to see how Clemson defends their 3 guard lineup. Clark will have to guard a much smaller, quick player, as will Wiggins when he comes in. For Clemson on the offensive end, Clark will have a size advantage big time. I say Clark has an over average game today from a points and rebounds standpoint.

We need to slow the game down. If we get into an up tempo game where we take quick shots, we are playing right into their hands.
We need to exploit our advantages, which is our size at key positions.
We need to play smart and not force things. If we play within our system, we will get good shots. We should take open threes when we get them, but ideally only after we've worked the ball around some first, including at least one touch in the post.
I believe our experience will count for a lot today. We are a veteran group and have played in a lot of close, competitive games this year.

we do seem to play at a higher level against better competition. It has been the weaker opponents that have given Clemson the most trouble.

Go look at Lobos roster. It is full of guys that before transfering or signing were high 3 star/ 4 star players.
House was a 4 star recruit at Arizona State and played in a NCAAT there before transfering there .
6-10 Center Nelly Joseph was a 4 star recruit signed by Rick Pitino Sr at Iona before transfering there. Played in two NCAATs at Iona
Guard Mashburn was a high 3 star/4 star recuit at Minnesota before transfering there.
Guard Dent was a 4 star recruit and the Los Angeles player of the year before signing at NM.
6-9 JT Toplin was the Mountain West Freshmen of the year and a 4 star recruit from Texas.
This will be a tough game. Have to play as well at least like did in last Pitt win, and maybe Alabama, TCU and UNC wins.

Nope. Defending their high scoring guards without fouling is #1. PJ is a shooter and will take outside shots.
