it's going to be the constant blathering of the ESPN pundits for the remainder of the year. They will likely bang the drum for any of the one loss SEC teams or even a one loss Ohio State or Oklahoma to be in over Clemson.
It was kind of happening before this game but it will be hard to watch anything about the playoffs because of this one game. It will not be forgiven by the ESECPN crew.

I personally don’t think we will lose the #1 spot, but if we do, I don’t see how we would drop below #2.
We are the defending national champs and we STILL haven’t lost since 2017.

We'll be #2, maybe #3 if they over-react to Ohio State. The SEC is going to cannibalize each other. Looks like there are 7 teams who could win it all and not much else. Still no crazy upsets near the top

ESPN does not decide who is in the CFP. ESecPN analysts (not all but most) have been talking down Clemson for years but the Playoff Committee has done pretty good in their decisions.
