I’m at a loss at 2026 being the year that the SEC and the B1G will hold all the cards. One would think they are holding all of them now. Confused

2026 is when the initial 4 team playoff was supposed to be reviewed with Bowls. The NCAA pushed the 12 team playoff through with the concessions of the bowls. 2026 is when all the big bowls were supposed to renegotiate position with ncaa based on the playoff plans therefore all the big bowl contracts are open in 2026. This is the BIG ans SEC's window to lock in all the big bowls and playoffs. Of course its their chance for more money grab and ACC just sits and listens instead of being proactive.

Tactically here is why there is a difference in 2025 vs 2026

"The Big Ten and SEC will control the CFP's voting power starting in 2026, and will no longer require unanimity from the 11 management committee members to pass legislation, sources told CBS Sports."

The SEC/B10 NEED our vote this year because the CFP rules require a unanimous vote. When the CFP renews its contract next year, unanimous votes are no longer needed.

Just another reason why we better not take the short term money from the ACC to drop our lawsuit.

THe 4 berthes for SEC/B10 may not happen this year but it will happen next year. In time it will become a new classification of D1 athletics, and those not in the SEC/B10 will be in the second tier, much like FBS vs FCS or Div 1A vs Dv 1AA

With the way it's been with the SEC and Big 10 driving to lockup college FB, I'm about ready to join the folks that are throwing their towels in for college sports, and if they want to control it so badly, Let them have it bc the big money wants them to have it, screw Um all to H e l l as far as I'm concerned!!!!

IMHO it's fruitless to try and fight big money bc they will never stop until they have squeezed every dime out of college FB as they can and then leave it by the dumpster the same way that it has done with everything else that it has took control of and bullied it down to being worthless for anyone else!!!

The SEC and Big must be shaking in their boots over that little bit of extra we think the ACC is giving us to sucker us into staying once again. For gosh sakes to buy into their bull crap again. Keep suing. Maryland did and got the heck away.
