Porsche service is $$$.
I loved the styling so much more than the Boxster, but I like a convertible a lot more.
Sold it 5 years ago, wife says it was my last sports car. I need to find a place to store my next one. LOL.

One of my good friends had a '74 Porsche 914 in the early 80s.

Basically a VW, but man what a fun little car and you could get them back then for next to nothing. One Sunday afternoon we were riding around and the car started filling up with smoke so we pulled into the Winn Dixie parking lot and flames started engulfing the car. My buddy ran into the WD and begged for a for extinguisher but they wouldn't give him one. It was pretty crispy by the time the RHFD arrived to put the fire out. My buddy drove his Mom's Chevy station wagon for a few months until he could get another car.
And THAT my friends, is the only Porshe story that I have.

I had a cousin who lived in Rock Hill and drove a 914 in the late 80’s. He was delivering Pizzas and it caught on fire while he was driving. his solution though was to drive it into the nearest pond. He wasn’t too bright. Two burning 914 Rock Hill stories though……

having some mechanical problems and needed a reliable car, and wound up selling it and buying a brand new VW GTI. It took me a while to learn to buy nothing but Toyotas, Hondas, or Subarus; comfortable, functional cars on which everything works like it's supposed to, and they last forever.
