so DRad told Jack to go visit another baseball program
Jun 12, 2014, 1:22 PM
|
|
"We want Jack and his staff to go out and visit another successful baseball program's staff, to share ideas," Radakovich said. "Jack and his staff have been successful. There's been some things that have worked really well in our program for a number of years. That's why I say there's a sharing of ideas; he's not just going to go somewhere, and bring everything back and change it."
So, T-net baseball Mensas, where would you send him? LSU? Texas? SCAR is NOT a valid answer. Florida and Vandy are ruled out also (by DRad).
What would be a place, more successful than Clemson, that Leggett doesn't already see most every year?

I don't believe baseball programs do this regularly
Jun 12, 2014, 1:50 PM

Football coaches routinely visit other schools because they know there is a very very small chance that they will actually play them. What difference does it make that Dabo visited OK State and Nevada. There is a less than 1% chance we will ever see them over the course of a season.
Basketball coaches seem to share tips/lessons learned around the convention at the Final 4.
I don't remember ever hearing about baseball programs visiting other schools. Mainly because you play so many different teams over the course of the year (and a good chance of seeing the good ones in the NCAAs) that coaches don't share as much. Maybe they do this more at camps etc.

Everybody needs a mentor or just someone to mull over different/new ideas that is not in your organization. Ray Tanner visited every year with Skip Bertman (LSU), Augie Garrido(Texas), and Ron Polk.

Jack taking advice from another from another head coach or staff? Now that's funny. We play the best programs so we can't go to them. How can an arrogant jerk like Leggett be willing to change? He may well be gone in one year due to his own self.

you want funny, check out a mirror. you are a cancer and the very worst type of fan a program can have. pulling for a team to lose just to get rid of a coach is truly mind blowing.

All the players going pro should tell you something. If Drad holds to the markers that he has laid down,Leggett will have to accomplish miracles with a young team. He had set in the motion reasons to fire him. I would expect your cult to disagree, but the Tommy Bowden cult acted just as stupid.

THE CULT SAYS ONCE AGAIN YOU ARE AN IDIOT. crownover will be back, clay bates is coming back for a 5th year. who can really blame boulware. where was he going to play. and baum is leaving because of family considerations. the other three were seniors, all of which came back for their senior year. you guys just keep spewing out the same drivel 24/7. get some new material.

All you care is about the feelings of an over the hill coach. You can't see the four year slide in this program. Jack is back no doubt. The Scar series will be a marker. If next season goes bad, don't be shocked at the heat Drad feels over this decision.

even the coaches that coach from the dugout still give the signals. You can watch the batter, 1st and 3rd base coach all look to the dugout for the signs.
I'm not sure how we did it with a FR catcher, but we seem to be one of the few teams that generally lets the catcher call the pitches. Most other teams call the pitches from the dugout.

I know in the past with more experienced catchers we let the catchers call most of the game. It was one of the reasons our pitchers were able to go so fast. I didn't know if we gave a FR the same leeway.

Most head coaches don't have such an uptight attitude like the arrogant Jack Leggett. Your cult along with McRae,Philpot ,and the other Leggett apologists I'm sure are overjoyed. You have destroyed our baseball program.

Their season was abruptly upended by a hot bunch of Anteaters, but they have consistent in their fundamentals on both sides of the ball and continue to win 40+ games almost every year. Not to mention they handled a Duck squad that laid the wood to us

I'm glad the Hatfield situation was brought up. Hatfield and Leggett are very much alike in that their arrogance toward the fans was obvious. You better win if you are that arrogant. That's why Jack is losing the personality battle because his program is slipping. The fans can see it but he can't. That is what is so troubling. His cult like fans refuse to acknowledge that same fact. This same thing happened with Bowden. His cult refused to see the truth. Imagine how bad the football program would be if he was still the head coach.

YOU ARE CORRECT. HE IS FAMILY. HE COACHES AT THE SCHOOL I HAVE PULLED FOR AND SUPPORTED SINCE 1962. HE IS NO DIFFERENT THAN ANY COACH. AS LONG AS THEY ARE AT CLEMSON THEY WILL GET MY SUPPORT. WHEN THEY LEAVE OR ARE FIRED I WILL SUPPORT THE NEXT GUY. NOT MY JOB TO HIRE OR FIRE. ONLY EXCEPTION IN ALL MY YEARS WAS HATFIELD AND I THINK WE CAN ALL AGREE ON THAT ONE. LOL

put an end to this some time ago and would be on my way to, hopefully, putting the pieces back in place. I agree with the part about Hatfield but other than that the ADs have done okay. DRad pulled a boner on this one. I hope that we never hire a SC or GT reject for anything.

The minute one thing negative is said about JL on this board the one or both of you are right there defending him like he's your child. The people on here that you call idiots and vehemently go after for saying anything about your precious Jack are no worse than you are with this kinda awkward lovefest you got goin on. And you say Boulware has nowhere to go..a year ago we're talking about what a stud this kid was and now he has nowhere to go? I sure would like to hear Boulwares and his families side of this but I'm sure it has nothing to do with JL..right?
