Riley’s contract was for 2 years. Any bets on what he gets offered to stay? Think Clemson needs to take all that bonus and big contract money and invest in the players or at least give to someone who is actually earning it! Doughboy and Riley are not mini NFL coaches (what college football has become). My biggest question here is why we can’t or don’t protect Hauser so he can actually help win games.just not seeing why we keep doing same things over and over, and expecting a different outcome! Truly insanity.

I don’t look at stats as those are often padded against inferior competition. I look at what I see on the field. Decisions being made on crucial downs…you know, the things that actually make a season

1. Dude was a huge success and considered the best offensive coordinator in football 3 years ago. We were getting lambasted by the media, other coaches, the NFL, and on the recruiting trail for our archaic, simple offense.
2. We bring him in. Dabo makes clear we're not using Riley's offense. We're using the "Clemson offense."
3. We see Dabo making playcalls on the sidelines.
4. We continue to see the same archaic, simple offense, not the one Riley has ever used before.
5. Riley is the worst coordinator?
Do you see how stupid you sound. How blind can you be of what's actually going on?

Agree 100%, I do think Riley was a very overrated possibly being with Sonny , but I do def feel Dabo has way too much input on the offense and thinks his offense is actually good just needs someone to run it better… sorry that’s not the problem , this offense is absolutely boring and predictable and 100% not what he ran before coming to Clemson at all… that’s easy to see just go watch past games at tcu and smu

Tiger pride nailed it with his post.
Yall can blame Riley just like you did Streeter but it’s not them. You’re going to blame the next guy to bc nothing will change until Dabo is gone.
Dabo is the common denominator. He said it out his own mouth last year and as Tiger Pride pointed out.
Riley was brought here to run the “Clemson” offense… not his actual air raid offense he knows inside and out.
Dabo is the problem… has been the problem… and will continue to be THE problem until he is gone. He’s still stuck back in time thinking it’s 2014 yet it’s a decade later.
The downturn will continue and this once proud powerhouse will continue to fall into oblivion until lord Dabo is removed.

I still believe it has more to do with being handicapped within Dabos overall coaching philosophy. We went full Turtle mode for the entire second half. The common denominator is Dabo. Plain and simple.
