Their cult members are happy to pay astronomically high taxes in blue areas and have virtually nothing to show for it from a government perspective. With a private sector solution. Possibly you could rename the 3 Counties most affected, Apple, Verizon, and Amazon, and use those endorsement deals to create jobs and fix your towns.
and why has infrastructure NOT been updated, it seems they were woefully unprepared for what climate scientists have been warning about for decades. If we get 30" of rain in Florida, it is gone in a day. Oh, and don't get me started on the insurance companies, expect all of your premiums in NC to go up because certain municipalities did not listen to reason.
