SCar's best MLB guy?
Crazy how they play together in the furthest city from South Carolina possible.

As a huge Red Sox fan I hope Scar's best MLB player turns out to be Jackie Bradley Jr. He was supposed to be the starting CF this year but got beat out by a guy who hasn't played baseball in 2 and a half years.

however Bradley, if he hits, will be an All-Star. Remember Sizemore is a lot more than a "guy". He was an All-Star CF with the Indians before injuries ravaged him. If he's healthy, he's a big time two way player with speed. Thanks for Ellsbury, by the way. If he every can stay healthy we might get something out of him.

But I have Boston winning the division and the Yanks getting a wildcard berth. its going to be a four team race in the AL east though. Boston, New York, Tampa, and Baltimore are going to have good years. So glad we don't have to deal with A-rod crap this year, we need to just go ahead and cut ties with him. But to answer OP's post, yes you are correct on both

i don't think there's any question about either one of them

both are good two way players. Smoak can rake and Miller has turned into more of a prospect than Colvin....I didn't think that would happen. The M's are young and will be better than anyone thinks they are. My Yanks never fare well on the west coast trip out there with them, the A's, and the Angels....the M's make me more nervous now with all of that youth they have.

though injuries have killed what he could have been. In his prime in Baltimore he was one of the top 3 2B men in the Show. A great all around ballplayer. As a lifelong Yankee fan, i'll take whatever he gives us. What really gets me is how folks like Brett Gardner ended up at Coastal Carolina and didn't get sniffed by Clemson or you all. Guy is one of the 5 fastest players in the game on the bases and plays like there's no tomorrow every game.

lot that slipped away over the years out of state or to the minors. I played Legion ball with Pokey Reese and against him in HS. He was the best player I ever played against, to include several that went on to D1 schools, Clemson, you guys, others, etc.. He probably didn't have the grades to get into college but was a ludicrous talent.

he walked on at CofC. He played HS at Holly Hill Academy(very small SCISSA) so that may account for some of the overlooks.

Yankee player. Of course it helps that he's from SC as well...LOL. Kid plays guts out all of the time and gets all he can get out of his talent. If the Yanks let him walk anytime soon Cashman is nuts. He's just what an older Yankee team needs.

to us Yankee fans, that's an automatic. I should have said, "favorite outside of the Captain", of course.
