Is 2017 a year for big RB season with Tigers?

Apr 5, 2017, 11:56 PM

The Wayne Train has pulled out of the station and set course for the NFL, best wish to Gallman - he will be successful. One note about Gallman, he was tough and a quiet leader. Breaking school records, he also set a standard along with Spiller for what a Clemson RB should be. From pass protection, to running with anger up the seams. CU goes back even further, but for Dabo's teams' reference, I'll keep it at those two.

To this year, I posed the question back in Feb. " who will have a breakout year at RB?". I expressed my acknowledgement's of Fuller's diversity, but that it was the new #28 that is due for his breakout year. Spring Game will tell us more, the Fall even more. Choice looks like He is comfortable challenging Feaster or the #1 spot. Who will be the next 1,000 yd back? All I know is, It's Feaster's Time to turn on the jets IMO, kid's got so much potential.

Will have three backs with at least 500 yards each.

However, it would be nice to see Feaster put it all together, and pound out some yardage. I think He's built for it personally, a speedster too. Just saying that so much expectation was put on him, wearing the number and all. He's got it in him.

There currently doesn't appear to be a "workhorse". Each of the 3 RBs bring their own set of skills, but of the 3, Feaster seems to be most explosive, Fuller the most dependable, and Choice, well, Choice, is the unknown. He can run between the tackles, not sure how much the injury is still affecting him, I hope not at all. Is Entienne the wild card? Can he come in and make a difference right away or does he get redshirted. I can see Feaster hitting 800-900.

Unless one of our new QB's looks like DW4, then we had better have at least ONE 1000-yard guy, or we're gonna lose a few games.

Fuller and Feaster are going to be a problem for numerous teams.

We could see heavier dependence on the RB run game especially if Bryant wins the starting job

Our great defense means a 2014-like season should be the baseline. I think anything more than that depends on Feaster breaking out. If Fuller and Feaster play like Davis and Spiller, then we'll make another playoff run.
