She went to Charlotte Saturday night, and said today that the whole experience - day, Game, atmosphere - rivaled the natty in Tampa that she went to as a 14 year old. Quite a statement.

Not even close went to both and a game winning acc title is nothing compared to how the stadium reacted in tampa when DW made that perfect outside throw to renfroe for the first natty in 36 years. Ppl were jumping into arms of random ppl it’s the single greatest moment I’ve witnessed in Clemson football. I’ve been to few playoff games, title game in phoniex all the acc title games, all the home games for long time. Nothing compared to that Natty game winner. Sorry Go Tigers!!!

I’ve been to nattys in phoenix, Tampa, San Jose and New Orleans and I found the environment in charlotte nothing like ant of those. Maybe I’m just old.

She WAS a youngster in Tampa, and that WAS her only post season reference point, but I was with her in Tampa, and as a then 48 year old man, that was one of the best days of my life.
I defy you to find a 22 year old more devoted to the Tigers than her, so I will take her at her word. As a dad, it warms my heart that this was how she described her experience.

It was an exciting ending at both Tampa and Charlotte and cold both nights, but gotta disagree.
The Natty win in Tampa and the drive to win it all stands alone.
However, love your daughter’s passion for Clemson football.

Ended up getting 2 free tickets around 3:00 on Saturday. Debated about going due to weather and bringing my child, but figured we should go. So glad we made that trip. That stadium was rocking after that FG!! Such an amazing memory with my daughter. Definitely her best memory of CU football. Hope she gets to see a natty one day!

My daughter is the same age as yours, and we felt like the last 16 seconds were pretty close to the last 16 seconds of the Tampa experience. The impossible drive, the unlikely hero, and the whole "We're not supposed to be here and I'm not supposed to be here, but we are and I am and how 'bout those Tigers!" vibe...

The comments on this have made me wonder…why aren’t all games as loud as games in the past? I thought the atmosphere at the end of the game was the most exciting I’ve seen in a long time, but why wasn’t the South Carolina game like that from start to finish, why did it take a last second field goal to get everyone excited. We’ve become spoiled, Dabo’s right.

No way. It was the worst atmosphere I've seen at the ACC Championship game. I mean it was cold, but outside the stadium was D E A D. Little to no tailgating, and they didn't even have a championship village this year. IMO even the Pitt game that rained was better. I've been to the last 10 ACC Championships that Clemson played in. I think a lot of it had to do with a last-minute clench and people just couldn't make plans on such short notice.
