Oct 2022 I defended Dabo & on Thanksgiving had to spend day alone

Because of what the host in Oct heard after the fact and thought I was the villain in her home, thus no invite for Thanksgiving with GF #1..
and for the 1st time in my 81 years I was not with family or friends on this special family holiday due to the late uninvite & timing..
but i made the most of it by ordering 2 turkey meals online with different fixings (green-bean casserole, cranberry sauce, sweet potatoes, gravy, collards, biscuit, cornbread and 2 pumpkin pie slices) from Cracker Barrel near HHI and drove to nearby Beaufort to park above the colorful moored sailboats near downtown on Bay St..
Turned on the radio to get some lovely holiday tunes and then preceded to down the 1st plate of that tasty turkey dinner and told myself that even though this experience hurt, it was nothing compared to armed force service people being away or a prisoner in jail, etc.
In fact, it was rather peaceful what with not having all the chatter, being with some that are not so easy to be with, etc.
Now, back to the Oct 2022 party where the man (a GT grad at a Dawg's home in SAV) insulted Coach Dabo and called him a FRAUD, FAKE & HYPOCRITE..not because of his religion..
But mainly b/c of his earlier takes on not wanting to pay players (while he made $10 Million a yr) via the NIL..plus not wanting to pick up some needed transfers.
I was astonished and quickly said out-loud Shame on you, You are the hypocrite, Dabo is 10 x the man you are, etc
at which time the home hostess heard me but never heard what he had said first to start this and felt I was the hypocrite.
Well, two years later I may be agreeing with the GT punk..at least that Dabo is stubborn in changing and maybe a hypocrite.

There's some Aesop's quality in this true yarn Bill.

I like how you made the best of that lonesome Thanksgiving.
And we've all hit some highs and taken some arrows due to Dabo's skill sets, fire, brimstone and self-anointed Clemson standards -- though mostly less dramatic than yours.

I’m with you here. I have always had faith Dabo knew the direction that was best for our team. At the end of last season, I was convinced with the recruiting class coming in and Matt Luke, the offense would be back to “normal” this year.
I know we played UGA, the best team we will see this year, but nothing looked better on offense at all. The scheme, tempo and play calls were as bad as they have been since Trevor left. A creative offensive coach would had worked all offseason to put a game plan together that would at least get a few quick points. We just use the same game plan no matter who we are playing and expect it work.
I also think the fact we are still starting Turner and Randell on WR show we should have picked up at least one WR who was ready to start week one from the portal. We had UGA week one and should have a roster out together who could compete with them on week one.
I think Dabo is a great coach, but he doesn’t want to do things needed to be an elite coach. If we as fans expect our team to be elite, the coach should feel the way. Hopefully the team grows the rest of the year and is in a position to come out next year in the way I expected them to this year, but without major changes to our offensive game planning and play calling, even if we have the talent, we won’t creat opportunities to use them properly.
So, yeah, I love Coach Dabo and want him to succeed so bad, but if we don’t have a major change in offense coaching or start using the portal to fill immediate gaps, I think we need to quietly begin the search for someone who will. Then let Dabo go out with all accolades he deserves and forever honor all of his accomplishments.

You can’t have your cake and eat too tall keep bashing Dabo on this board and your doing exactly what fine sums of the world want fans to do

At least they didn't disinvite you for refusing to take an experimental, myocarditis inducing, "safe & effective" vaxx like some reprobates did. It's 2024 and you still have psychos riding around in cars alone with a mask on. Wonder how many of them disinvited unvaxxed relatives? Wonder what side effects they've experienced.
