I just don’t get how Allar can get all the hype when he isn’t that great. I’ll take Cade any day of the week.

It's not like Cade would make a poor decision and throw an INT to lose a game.

Cade has been why Clemson was in every game(except UGA) the lack of a healthy rb was killer. Allar does not carry his team he just hands the ball off to a stable of rbs behind an awesome OL. Big difference. Same with Leonard(except he does run the ball well).

He's bigger but he didn't look good at all last night. Also very much a lumberer. Not fast or shifty at all. That's not gonna translate to the NFL.

He was awful last night. He couldn't hit the broadside of a barn last night. Cade is absolutely better. The only reason they could favor him over over Cade is his size.

Have you ever seen a game in the modern day where a QB failed to complete a pass

to a wide receiver?
Two pretty mediocre passing teams, but one was able to complete passes to wide receivers allowing them to win the game basically on a play where the defender slipped and fell.

for years now. It's wild that Franklin can't recruit any WRs.

It really had nothing to do with the WRs. He completely missed the throw at the goal line. Hit the WR below the knee. He would have walked in for a TD, if the pass was on target.

It has plenty to do with the WRs

Not saying Allar is amazing but it's been the same story all season. TEs and RBs have accounted for nearly 2/3 of Penn States receiving yards. They have zero WRs that would play a snap at Ohio State.

You can be 6-6 and a DJ5. I'm not sure where I'd find it, but would love to know what his actual per pass yards were for the season. Couldn't have been that much. The games I watched were RB screens and TE 10 yrd passes and then let them get yac.
Yes, every QB's going to throw tip ball ints and not see the coverage. Cade took some growing, but once he was cut loose, he'd sling some dimes. I'd bet that if Cade hit the portal, he'd have been the highest ever paid player.

Allar crapped the bed last night. Should had 3 picks….several missed throws, bad decisions.

In a nod towards Cade, I did read an article earlier in the week (before OB performance) where a few scouts/personnel types in the NFL were saying Allar should declare because the class sucks this year whereas next year there are a half dozen or more QBs that will have high interest. One of those mentioned was Cade. So ….
