I know Big Dave. A lot of people think he’s making a fool of himself and talking crap about Clemson while having trouble dealing with his son’s lack of being an NFL QB. A lot of folks think Big Dave is in it all for the money. He’s not; he’s a dad who wants his son to play in the NFL, and he’s watching the dream die. It hurts, but he’s in denial.
That’s understandable, but it’s not the money.
DJ Khaled is one of the top “DJs” in the world. He makes more than Dabo and all of our coaches combined. Big Dave is Khaled’s personal bodyguard, and is paid very well for it. Millions actually.
Big Dave doesn’t need DJs money. Like any dad, he’ll look for excuses when children fail, including trying to blame, in this case, Clemson. Big Dave isn’t a terrible dude, just outspoken and caring about his sons. He does need to thank Clemson for the opportunity, and then just be quiet, Big Dave.

Eff DJ and Eff his fat daddy. I will forever associate DJ as the singular reason Clemson has taken a step back from the elite 2 or 3. He is the face of the frustrations of 21 and 22. One that includes a loss to South Carolina that is beyond embarrassing. And their win here at Clemson could very well propel them to a higher level of play. Then again maybe not. Regardless, you can point your finger at DJ and his obvious lack of desire to even be on the field that day as the reason they beat Clemson. Glad his family doesn’t need the money, because DJ won’t be providing anymore of it through football.

Hate on DJ all you want but the coaches are the ones who decided to keep him in the game...I have no doubt DJ was doing his best, unfortunately that wasn't good enough and for whatever reason the coaches still felt he was better than Plan B. It's time to move on.

about Clemson the past two years. Its proven by the fact that Dabo fired Streeter, analysts questioned our offense and Tony Elliott took his road show to UVA and their offense got significantly worse despite having one of the btter signal callers in the conference.
DJ had some issues but I think the program failed him some too.

Clemson gave DJ every possible opportunity to succeed. He had great coaching and great play calling.
DJ has 100% responsibility for… himself.

maybe some was scheme/wrs, but if you sky or throw ground balls on the simplest of routes; you are not going to run a more complex/high risk offense well. LOL

Streeter and Dabo took a completely broken QB and won 11 games and an ACC championship. That’s GREAT coaching.

I sort of think great coaching would have been not playing an untalented, broken QB when you had Klubnick on the roster. They won 11 games because the schedule was weak.

I believe Tony Elliott/Brandon Streeter did not put DJ in a position to be his best. Especially Streeter. Streeter had success with DW4 and TLaw but those guys are just on another level....and I never thought either made much improvements during their time at Clemson. Trevor decline a bit and DW4 had like a thousand picks his final year...but did do awesome in the playoffs. Bryant was great in 2017 but lost his job in 2018. Streeter is a great guy and recruiter but I think he was in over his head with blue chip talent. Let's hope Riley is better. But Streeter also called bad plays as an OC and let's be honest, the line and WRs didn't help much. We should have ran the ball more to take pressure off of DJ. That being said DJ still didn't seem to me like he was giving his best or trying to improve.
